End of Organized Christians by Country

The Church can be closely tied to Monarchy and we can look in detail throughout Europe for dates of when Patriotism or duty of State and Church, of God King and Country, is outmoded shall we say?

This map shows Remaining Monarchies established by an organized Christian Church.

Mostly Lutherans. The Presbyterians and Anglicans both affirm the chosen Monarch of the UK in their own ways. I'm not highly informed on the current Catholic rules in Spain.

FRANCE

King Louis of France and Marie Antoinette of Austria are decapitated in favor of Napoleon Emperor of France. This is approximately all 1812.

United States

Lets claim that Abraham Lincoln in 1865 claiming no Organized Religion in Generally Accepted Practice as well as in writing, makes a ruling Denomination not possible in USA

Germany

Wilhelm was related to Queen Victoria pictured here in Highland Scottish Dress. World War I ended the Prussian Monarchy leading to Nazi Germany. The Lutheran power-balance switched to a much weaker catholic outlook with Hitler.

Italy


Emmanuel married Orthodox from Montenegro. The Italian Kingdom was lost for world war 2 and Mussolini in 1930's.

Austria (now Balkans)

Most people know the fall of the Ancient Hapsburg family of Catholic origins since the 1300s maybe. This was in the end of world war I breakup of Austria.

Korea (united)

In 1910 Korea was taken over by Japan which removed organized support of Presbyterianism.

Russia

The entire Russian Romanov Emperor's family was assassinated by an irreligious partisan around 1913. The Communists would lead to a strong disestablishment of the Orthodox religion.


Anyone have any extended thoughts on others? Do you think Churches can again unite Nations, their rulers, and be an inbetween for politics and unity?

It's super interesting.
Not that "Christianity" ought to be surprised. For thousands of years
Christians held that eventually the faith would collapse. End times
in fact.
The Old Testament declared there would be a Messiah. He would
be rejected of His people and he would be trusted by the Gentiles.
Jesus said that when the Gentiles time is "fulfilled" the Jews would
return from exile.
Says of the churches in Revelation "no more the sound of the
bride and bridegroom" and "no more the lighted candle" etc.. This
was written when no church as we know it existed.
And the Gentiles will suffer as the Jew suffered.

So no, there won't be a resurrection of the faith in Western
societies anymore than we will see a return of Monarchy.
It's hard to respect Monarchy if you don't respect God. The
two are not tied together directly - rather the concept of
Lordship, honor, authority etc are related.
The bible says that God did not want a monarchy.

It was a tough balance from a few books on France. Of course the people could Reach and Get to Santa Clause, but he was the Icon of France, or the Father and the Family. King Louis was first made to wear the cap of Revolution and his family. They later ordered him back to Paris. A Revolution King! They eventually, and not with American revolution or any external choices , very poor internal choices, eroded the idea of the King is a great thing of and for the people.
