As someone who shared those experiences (mostly the battered and tormented, less bullied), I sincerely hope that you can unlearn the hate. I did when I finally came to realize that those who mistreated me were victims of their own tortured upbringing, and I found I was able to forgive unconditionally. I am so grateful for that, because hate is too big a burden to carry.Bullied; battered; tormented; I learned to hate life and people.
Getting out of Indiana has helped tremendously in that. I learned how to take out bricks of that wall, but in California it has been coming down in chunks and sections. To the point I was able to even realize just how angry and bitter I was, as I never really noticed before because that's just how I was all the time. I also found some confidence and self-esteem, which that too I never noticed that I had none until I actually started finding some.As someone who shared those experiences (mostly the battered and tormented, less bullied), I sincerely hope that you can unlearn the hate.
