Pastor and stripper working together

It really depends on how the money is being raised. Working with someone who happens to be a stripper for a good purpose is licit and praiseworthy. A good deed is a good deed regardless of who performs it.

However, if money is being raised by stripping and or sex work, then it remains sinful. An immoral act is not justified by a good intention. An end never justifies an immoral means.

Oregon pastor and stripper team up to raise money for migrant kids after sweeping ICE raid

Nice to see.

The pastor has some universalist category confusion
“Because at the end of the day, we are all saints and we are all sinners, and the children of Mississippi are our children too,” Ericksen added.

We? Those in Christ are at the same time saints and sinners but the pastor ambiguously left it to the hearers who he meant who would likely applied it to the world. Saints has to do with those made holy by Christ not everyone.

Those is Christ are adopted by God in a strong sense. Those in Adam of children of God in a weaker sense. God is father to all believers and benevolent to all men.

I think he's sincere but his message is well meaning but obscures the gospel a bit. It's possible he would agree with me on the above issues but his statements lacked clarity. If the stripper repented and followed Christ perhaps it would add more clarity to his message? God loves you as you are but too much to leave you as you are?

At the end of the day some kids get fed that would probably otherwise go hungry.

And It could be a scam, we shall see in the coming months.

This is lovely to see. I hope it's legit because it gives me some hope. Sad to see some in this thread already pissing on it.

You never know, great intent but it may very well be someone taking advantage of peoples emotions for profit. Even the donations to highway patrol for officers families that were killed in the line of duty are suspect, from what I understand the families only get about %10.

You think it's preferable to let innocent children suffer rather than use "sinful" yet harmless acts between consenting adults to help feed, clothe, shelter, and comfort them...all because of some useless superstition?

That the children are tended to should take precedence over the gobbletygook details.

In the article linked the phrase "vegan strip club" made me say "what the heck (or other suitable oath)". It turns out the club was originally a vegan restaurant that was about to go belly up. The owner added strippers and the rest is history:

This Is the World's Only Vegan Strip Club

But back to the OP, I have no problem with women stripping for Jesus.

A good intention never justifies an evil act. More commonly stated: the ends do not justify the means.

1756 It is therefore an error to judge the morality of human acts by considering only the intention that inspires them or the circumstances (environment, social pressure, duress or emergency, etc.) which supply their context. There are acts which, in and of themselves, independently of circumstances and intentions, are always gravely illicit by reason of their object; such as blasphemy and perjury, murder and adultery. One may not do evil so that good may result from it.
Catechism of the Catholic Church - The morality of human acts

It is no more permissible to fornicate for charity than it is to rob someone for the same end. Evil is evil.

Well it is a good thing that we are just talking about strippers here. You know, table dances. No one was advocating "fornication".

I used a stripper to help around the house the other day. What is wrong with that?
