Slicing fresh strawberries and sweating them with sugar and then adding them to a good vanilla softened making my own strawberry flavour, far better than pre-made strawberry ice cream.

That's a winner. I've gotten to the stage where I'd rather have the real deal even if rarely vs junk eaten often. I'm open to different flavors - blueberry, vanilla, mango and on and on.

There is a ice cream manufacturer in France named Eskiss. They make a cafe gaumond ice cream. It comprises of 5 strengths of coffee ice cream from mild cappachino to a full on espresso, blended with caramel and sprinkled with edible coffee beans.

That is our every day (ish) ice cream, we buy a couple of tubs each week during the summer.

Then there is the king of them all. Truffle ice cream. I have only ever found 3 suppliers since i first discovered it over 20 years ago. Two in Italy who use white truffles and one itinerant vendor who occasionally turns up at Sarlat market. He uses the much better Perigord black truffle
