Today, Portland, Oregon has the distinction of being on International News (BBC & CNN) over the riots here. I watched them on the local news (KOIN) for a while, and it felt senseless, like I was watching a B grade Zombie movie. The people involved seriously need to learn some coping skills. Seriously.

I feel the same way about what is going on in Israel. Oh sure, various religious groups get on one side or the other. None of this makes any sense to me, and I wish I was not alive...Not in a suicidal sense, but it is all beyond my understanding. Aren't we all supposed to be governed by rational adults?

I think I'll go read some stupid, idealistic, fiction. Later perhaps I'll write my own stupid, idealistic Fiction?

What does God see in us? Why does he bother?

I haven't been checking news, but I'll pull up bbc and see what is occurring. Riots?

Well, in today's climate, you can count on protests and counter-protests. To me, it seems that the Right can be deliberately provocative, but the Left - particularly with its masked Marxist fascist Antifa - is the worst of the bunch. At least when the AltRight people and other conservative groups hold a public meeting they don't have to hide behind masks...

These so called protests are simply the new fad. I doubt most of them even know what they are protesting, just looking for a reason to act out.

I don't understand this thread. I also don't understand who chooses when people walking on streets shapes TV international coverage and opinion. 100s or 1000s of Koreans get shot dead for walking in streets on dozen occasions over decades and generations and you don't hear about a single thing. Protest kings.

"Fascist" and "Marxist" are mutually opposing ideologies. You can't be both. Antifa has no political ideology aside from opposing Fascism. You can be conservative and Antifa, as long as you oppose Fascism. The clue is in the word itself - Antifa = anti-fascist/fascism.

Name one person Antifa has murdered. Bet you can't. But the alt-right has murdered dozens of people the last few years. The alt-right are not conservatives. They're white supremacists and terrorists. All conservatives should denounce the alt-right.

It seems that God created the perfect predator. The first humans, murdered. I think about Cain murdering Abel. We murdered most of the Prophets... Then Jesus came and they Murdered him also. It seems that this life is like Military Basic Training.

Even the language of the OT is couched in terms where one is better than the other... Dominance and Submission. There is a passage in Isaiah 56: 4-5, They shall have a name better than Sons and Daughters? Loving and caring for each other is rare, it seems in the whole of the Bible.

They have the silliest nerd outlooks that never amount to popular support in their own brains even. We Wish to even in 1% associate in our minds integrationism, with pro-immigrant, pro-humanity, pro-USA, pro-human rights, when none of those are 1% factually provable. Segregational outlooks are often pro immigrant with alma gluck, pro humanity with the divisions of the Nations as God placed them, pro-human rights when we look at trafficking 'mail order wives' from korea, and nothing Eisenhower did from the 50's or the Martin Luther King Jr. movement can just be assumed by some superhero figure as a defense of America, because Reagan agrees or what, that doesn't exist. The Ordinary world that is becoming part of America will 99% agree with moderate segregation , cultural circles, education. We have done Nothing to force an attitude in our passive roles as social receptors to the social Leaders which are Active Achievers in our social world in America, who have a homeland in Asia, who have values from Asia, who Hate how Americans view Asia if they ever do at all. These are the factual strong and purposeful things you will need to Accept from a Passive receptive role as any person in the United States. Instead of do that, Interrogate Every Single Person about some 60's inspired free love problem on Nothing.

I would argue not that "we are all supposed to be governed by rational adults," but rather that we are at our best when we simply are rational adults. Sadly, part of the human condition entails that often, crowd behaviour brings out the worst, rather than the best, in us. For which reason, I have always striven to not be part of the throng.

From Portland. No riots today. Proudboy dolts were highly outnumbered by counterprotestors including teachers unions, bakers, LGBT organizations, a couple disability advocate group and just heaps and heaps of locals. Proudboys waved flags behind their police ecourts for a while then buggered off.
