Headed for recession Trump reelected?

No I talking about his reversed a policy which increased rates to decreasing in the Fed Reserve.
Did he not raise the minimum wage to 12 bucks an hour? Has that affected us negatively also? Its a huge hike from 7,25 cents an hour!

Its not 12? Is it still 7.25 then?

Fed min wage is still 7.25. 29 states have a higher state min wage than the Fed min, 16 are equal to the Fed, 1 is lower than the Fed, 5 have no min wage. Fed min wages can be bypassed by state law.

They haven't really been saying it will happen, but warning it may happen because of the ongoing inverse curve in interest rates, which has preceded all recessions, and is regarded as the best predictor of them.

Trump is putting pressure on the Fed Reserve to cut interest rates, in order to prevent recession. If we head into a recesion, it's the Fed's fault, not Trump's.

If you read the article paranoia of a recession could also cause it. Ergo nothing to do with Trump but individuals acting of their own accord. The OP is a hit pieces based on headlines not reading the article linked.

I don't believe you because Obama was not having the trade war Trump has had. Its a very different situation. Just ignore the warnings, we predicted Clinton would win, but hey we were wrong. Who knows what will hap[en but I would not be dependent on Trumps win if I were you but hey go ahead and be sure of it. The more sure you guys are of his winning the less likely you'll be to show up and vote.........
Ask the Cherry farmers and see if they agree.

You have more faith in people than I do. From where I'm watching, without a major Democratic breakthrough, I think Trump will hold on for a second term. That's before we even consider the possibility of him refusing to leave peacefully if voted out.
A Democratic breakthrough that so far I think I'd like to see is Elizabeth Warren. She is sensible, she's a policy wonk, she knows her stuff.

Forget Bernie, way too far left for the United States (he'd be a better fit in Canada, though I doubt I'd vote for him). Kamala Harris is interesting and sharp, but I don't know enough yet. Biden's past it, though probably a reasonably decent man, and somewhat less frightening (for the "I hate change" types) than the rest of them.

Honestly, I think warren could do it...

I don't kn ow if she has the necessary mass appeal, and until the Dems start addressing the concerns of the average voter, instead of fringe and niche issues, I don't hold much hope. But yeah, let's stay optimistic, I guess.

It's kind of ironic when Democrats socialists blame Trump for a recession when Clinton is the one who instigated it all with NAFTA pretty much bringing the death knell on a lot of Industry here who didn't hesitate to pack up and go overseas leaving Millions jobless and without the kind of future that will give you an incredibly good wage to raise a family and Collective good pension in their old age.

Pretty much doesn't exist now anymore. I hope Trump holds out until we do at least get a fair deal and I'm sure it's not us that's going to crack which is what I think Trump is betting on . Thank God he was elected and I'm glad I helped with my own vote.

The first part about the economy being cyclic is accurate. The Obama years were all about recovering from the Bush deep recession.

And the "best economy" ignores the gigantic increase in the deficit. Injecting a lot of money is like injecting drugs - it feels great until the "hit" wears off. And we discover over and over again that the "hit" wears off sooner or later.

Thus sooner or later living beyond one's means, whether personal or national ends.
Obama doubled the deficit in 8 years, Trump is adding to it. The piper will have to be paid, one way or another.

But they have addressed the concerns of the average voter, everyone, gets everything, for free.

Everyone includes anyone from any foreign nation .

Hmmm, coming from one who apparently takes refuge in lame and stupid, I will take your comment under advisement.

NATFA destroyed the lumber industry in BC. It has never recovered to pre-NAFTA levels.

I agree with this addition: Trump significantly raised the deficit with his tax cut.

Congresses passed a budget with no major spending cuts. Congress passed the tax cuts. Trump does not have the power to do either.

Trump signed and approved. The elitists got theirs for a short while, now the middle class gets to take a beating.
Again, on another republican watch. Back to back winning!

Trump will still lose in 2020. Economy won't matter. The American people have witnessed first-hand this nightmare.
