Tucker Carlson tells his viewers that the country's white supremacy problem 'is a hoax' - CNN
Tucker Carson has a long history of making racist comments in his show, lamented demographic change like it is a tragedy that more people of colour might come to live in the U.S. He has clearly shown himself to be a white supremacist. These comments are disgusting and dangerous.
I've never watched much of Fox News or Tucker Carlson, but racism is certainly not a hoax.
Of course, it was a bigger problem in the past, although many seem to believe that we've moved past that. Many believe that, as a nation, America has progressed greatly in this area. But maybe we haven't progressed as much as we thought we have. Or maybe we're regressing and going in the wrong direction.
I don't think anyone would deny that there will always be
some people who are racist, but what's unclear is just how many people that would entail, and to what degree. My grandparents were racists, but they never killed anyone. They were very much anti-Nazi and anti-KKK, but they were still racists - because most of their generation was racist.
That may be where some of the disconnect comes from. Some people might associate the white supremacy problem only with the number of card-carrying National Socialists or Klansmen, whose actual numbers would be very few.
