Why is the right wing more religious?

They are just louder. They are not meek and mild as Jesus told them to be. In reality, most of them are not actually Christians but only state that they are. True Christians know that Jesus said that love is the most important thing. If there is not love, it is not from God. Also, they are supposed to be helping the poor which would include mothers who can't afford their babies. Instead of helping, they cause them grief. That is not Christian. It is exactly the opposite. So, are they evil? That is my belief.

It's interesting that monotheistic religions which preach left wing things like "loving thy neighbour" and the sanctity of life seem to find their home in right wing politics... could it be that life is only sacred until you don't agree with their choices.... surely not....

EDIT: This is an unfair generalisation, thanks for pointing that out. I now mean this only to apply to conservatism - of course it's possible to be a leftie religious person and I'm glad of it, we need more of that sort of thing.

right or left wing, this is what Jesus said:
Mark 12:33 New International Version (NIV)
33 To love him (God) with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

Luke 10:27 He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."

Those who follow that are Christians. Those who do not follow it are not Christian because if they do not follow Jesus, they are not Christians.

That's a no true scotsman fallacy. Like it or not, they are Christian as they believe in the existence of the God of the Bible. You may disagree on their interpretation, but it is as valid as yours (although I wish it were true that you could only be Christian if you had a tolerant worldview)

Same fallacy atheists use when trying to distance themselves from North Korea or Stalin.

No, not at all. I mean, some atheists probably do but they'd be being fallacious too. Stalin and Kim jong were/are atheists, and ****ty people.

What I would say is that in both cases, the leaders assumed a deified status and received daily worship in much the same way as a god. In Kim jongs case, there are supernatural claims that go with that.

Fundamentalism always shows up when people are afraid. Its no different for Muslims.

The Fundamentalist Movement - American Historama
www.american-historama.org/1913-1928-ww1-prohibition-era/fundamentalist-movement.htm
Summary and Definition: The Fundamentalist Movement emerged following WW1 as a reaction to theological modernism. Fundamentalists also rejected the modernity of the "Roaring Twenties" that increased the impulse to break with tradition and witnessed Americans beginning to value convenience and leisure over hard work and self-denial.
