I am excellent at recycling
I use the subway.. which is electric...rather than the car ( also because driving in Rome is impossible:p)

I think we should do sonething to save our planet, like choosing the healthiest ways of life possible

What do you do to try to make nature environmental situation better?

The problem seems mostly hidden from us in the USA.

Apparently we have a system of exporting our problems to the rest of the world.

Would you say the American government does not take the environment seriously? Do they not know hoe things work?

The Number One Worst Polluter on Earth Is... The U.S. Federal Government

Yet even as awful as many state and local governments throughout the country are, the federal government is still by far, the worst polluter. And despite never-ending plans, promises, and programs from every administration to get its polluting under control (remember the Environmental Protection Agency was started over 40 years ago in 1970-- by a Republican) the pollution just keeps getting worse with no end in sight.

U.S. Military Is World’s Biggest Polluter

While the U.S. military's past environmental record suggests that its current policies are not sustainable, this has by no means dissuaded the U.S. military from openly planning future contamination of the environment through misguided waste disposal efforts. Last November, the U.S. Navy announced its plan to release 20,000 tons of environmental "stressors," including heavy metals and explosives, into the coastal waters of the U.S. Pacific Northwest over the course of this year.

The Pentagon Emits More Greenhouse Gases Than Any Other Part of the US Gov't.
Yet with few exceptions, the U.S. military's significant contribution to climate change has received little attention. Although the Defense Department has significantly reduced its fossil fuel consumption since the early 2000s, it remains the world's single largest consumer of oil — and as a result, one of the world's top greenhouse gas emitters.

Seems the US government is one of the worst contributors to pollution.

And there it is! Another anti-US sentiment cloaked in some nebulous altruistic cause. Why not make the same statement about the world's biggest and less regulated polluters? The jealousy towards the US by many folks in other countries is almost laughable.

We Recycle and compost, eat local grown food, own 30 hectares of Brazilian rain forest to mitigate the carbon footprint of my cars.

I love my cars but would ditch them if we didnt live so far from anywhere and with no public transport links.
