Yes. :)

But we shouldn't forget that we are the Iron Age.

New do we enter into this existence with an unconditional, limitless mind?
No. We are born with an assortment of genetic traits with the potential of all that we ever might be, and from there it is an intricate dance of nature and nurture that shapes and sculpts our mind. And the conditioning too begins the moment after birth.

I agree with @Darkforbid.

I vote: No. The key word in this question is "we". When "we" enter into existence, a limit has already been applied in order to achieve the multiplicity.

if the mind is limitless does it then have direct insight as brahman?

In general, I think the answer is yes. But I think it would be more accurate to say:

When the mind is limitless; it is Brahman.

I feel like, most people periodically and briefly achieve this like a swinging pendulum until the string breaks and they are no longer attached. When this happens ( the string breaks ), my question is: does the person exist any longer?

potential, possibilities infers infinite types of people and the things they create. they are innumerable given the history and knowledge known about human development. yes they are influenced by changes in nature but the mind is capable of overcoming those changes.

nature can be altered by humans. most animals do not effect nature on the scale that humans have.

We're born with a mind suitable for navigating the world we perceive with our limited senses, as are flatworms, rabbits and carp.
To perceive Brahman we must lose our minds. We must go mad.

i'm not speaking of humans.

i'm speaking consciousnesses. the universe is populated with consciousness; otherwise we are an aberration in nature.. anyone who would believe they are unique, or humans are obviously projecting their egoism.

but humans are capable of thinking theorectically; which isn't limited to things sensed with the 5 senses, which aren't limited to physical things only observed apart/outside of self.

I wouldn't say a silenced/clear mind was madness

A dice has various possibilities, depending on how many faces it has, but it is not an infinite amount of possibilities.
you missed the fact that humans have evolved and survived in many climates, cultures, and prehistorically. this isn't measurable, or even recordable on a realistic level. this doesn't even include those other species and their abilities to adapt. the mind has to discover a way to adapt to environmental changes. the physical being changes over time but the consciousness changes in an instance. again the dna is known to manifest differently because of epigenetics almost immediatly and due to changes in environment and emotional experiences. over time the dna mutates even more.

consciousness adapts immediately; otherwise physical changes would not be possilbe, nor would survival be possible except by accident. nature isn't an accident. it follows rules that the consciousness recognizes.

An individual organism can never be more than what it was born with. Such as, someone with severe mental retardation just will not be able to become a professor at Oxford. Those born with a male brain will not be interested in doing girly things and being feminine. Someone with Asperger's can never be neurotypical.

Thinking theoretically isn't the same as directly experiencing past, present and future simultaneously, experiencing all places simultaneously, directly perceiving the entire lifelines, birth to death, of every being that ever existed or will exist, everywhere and everywhen.

This is enlightenment. This is unlimited mind -- merger with Brahman.

I tend to believe that. I don't really believe in enlightenment since it usually expects acceptance of circumstances which I don't accept but I do believe that our existence is based on our own beliefs. That is true consciousness to me.
