If an afterlife exists?

Thief

Rogue Theologian
Yes!
An infinite number of wrong ones and a single correct one. Generally the least realized it even exists and is never understood. Nature always wins. It doesnt play fair. Cheater!! Trickster! Hahababahahaba! Jokes on you..

Thats what i understand emperically experiencially.
but that makes you a loser

Oh we all are! You havent figured that out yet! All are losers all are forgiven.

To figure to figurate to think i believe is an interesting confusion of the "i eye" as it looks upon a page. I wonder what a person one not such as me sees if they cannot read. Do they see like i see on the sea of all these words or do they see through, blinded from these words.

Abstraction curious curse blessing. Beauty and the beast.

Be your own guru
And then what if they think they are ceasing to exist yet are just thrown into another body back on Earth not of their choosing all over again?
They (or you) may think what ever they (or you) want to, but there is no evidence of that. Human imagination is very fertile.
That's what I understand empirically experientially.
Experience differ. What kind of experiment or observation have you made?

"Empirical: derived from or guided by experience or experiment, depending upon experience or observation alone, without using scientific method or theory, especially as in medicine, provable or verifiable by experience or experiment.
Expriential: pertaining to or derived from experience"

Entertaining ideas and thoughts of ‘what if’s’ can be painful for many, and/or perceived as not wise. This thread is not about physical evidence, yet about an ‘if’ scenario.

I’m fairly certain I didn’t need a reminder that there is no physical evidence of that.

I know its deeply deeply love driven narrative . And obviously as i look around we have evolved way way beyond love and that nonsense of having to do with anything at all. We have google!!! I googled it! Now i understand. Oh love, i found a site i love oh baby shes hot. I googled love. Love it.

We are massively evolving right now thank god for google.

I don't think I agree that google.com somehow expunged the idea of romantic love.

You sound awfully cynical on the subject.

Hypothetical...
My first love died when we were 25.
She went to Heaven.
I'm 85 and I die.
I go to Heaven.
Do I see her as she looked at age 25 or as she would have looked at age 85?
Do she see me as I looked at age 25, handsome, athletic, intelligent?
Or does she see me as I was when I died, fat, wrinkly, and demented?

Perfect illustration about why the concept is so childish it becomes redundant and moot.

Sure do. Don't see how it negates romantic / emotional intimacy though.

Can you please clarify this post?

That's the most incoherent thing I've read in weeks.

Coming from you i take that as a compliment but spec kids.

That view of the afterlife seems to be incredibly childish to me.

Oh like i said lots of love there to post you were commenting forget already. Ya know the dementia old folk. Not sopisticated like your profound understanding. Like a nazi love pretty special love there. Bud.

I don't know any adults besides extremely demented old people who have that conception of the afterlife.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
The sea of cosmic conscious energy, the mirror world veiled from us of physical eyes. The big one, the afterlife.

The force that forms the worlds. Where distance and time are insignificant.

That thing that fails reasoning from the senses. That thing that imagination cannot apprehend.

If it exists, then it probably has an entirely different fabric, an entirely different dimension to it.

I really do not know how far one can take this IF. If we exist, who is to say that there is not an eternal living consciousness somewhere.

And one can conceive of the highest possible good, the most Supreme Innocence. Why would we be bound to brute physics? Do we live at life's roots, and have yet to bloom? Is there a metamorphosis?

Oh, so you were being sarcastic all along? Fair enough.

My initial point still stands though.

Lol... Moving on..

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Once this life is over I have no wish to live another one. I am more fortunate than many where my life is concerned, obviously it has had its ups and downs, but we have wonderful children, and are quite comfortable financially.
I don't think none of us have any choice in the matter.

If there's any consolation, the next person or being will have no idea of who or what you are anyways so technically it would come across as having your cake and eating it too.
