Fear of homosexuality

Oh, please do enlighten me why me loving my boyfriend isn't "real love".

I already cited why previously.

And if you only argument is "because God does not like it" then I herby suggest God take his opinion and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Shoving things immorally is why the Bible says no unrepentant Sodomites will enter into heaven.

But do appreciate your honesty. Should someone asks me "why are you so against religous fundamentalism?" in the future I can always point to posts like yours and say "because somehow people like him still exist in 2019 and are a direct threat to my pursuit of happiness."

And that, IMO, would be the Biblically-challenged leading the blind.

Why give the scriptures any credibility at all? Do you realize how immoral they paint your God to be?

God spoke out many times on "stiff-necked" people and what their fate would be. Others who bad mouth God wouldn't even be breathing today except for the grace of God.

their immoral lifestyle.

Please describe it. I'm serious. I've heard this for as long as I can remember, and have yet to understand what this immoral lifestyle is. Do all gays live this immoral lifestyle? Can one be gay and live a moral lifestyle? Is there a straight immoral lifestyle? What are the criteria for these? I'm serious. I want to hear.

Pretty clear, isn´t it ?

Actually, no. The word homosexual didn't exist in any language before the late 1800s. The translators of the Bible used a new made up word because they didn't have a translation for what Paul was trying to say. They didn't know what Paul was trying to say.

Read the Bible.

I have read the Bible. I used to be Christian, I went to Sunday School. You are making the claim, so back it up. The burden of proof is in the accuser... you. Describe the lifestyle I live that makes it immoral. Seriously. I want to see what I need to change and/or am missing out on.

1... 2... 3... Go!

Once again you claim that your God is evil. When you duck a question it does not reflect well on you.

Why give the Bible any credence? With all of the errors in it why believe it?

Absolute nonsense. When he says that women lying with another woman instead of having sex with a man is wrong. Those words were made up ?

How about men burning with lust for one another and forsaking the natural use of the women as a sin
, Is he making up words wrong ?

The word you are speaking of was one rarely used in Koine Greek, but when used, it could have multiple meanings. The meaning being understood by context. There is little doubt what he meant when he used it, once, or perhaps twice.

It is irrelevant however because in other passages, like the above, he describes the acts and does not use the word you reference,

Iĺl bet you any amount you choose that from the dawn of time names existed for homosexuals.

I know that in English they existed way back, you can read the names in extant books from history.

Ohhh, so heterosexual men and women were abandoning their partners for same sex partners? Gay sex must be so much more pleasurable than straight sex. What right-minded straight man would want to keep sleeping with women when he can have wild raw savage monkey sex with other men. I was today-years-old when I learned gay sex is da bomb. This makes so much sense.

As to what the Bible says, I sadly do have to agree with @shmogie . But that is only more evidence that the Bible is not the Word of God.

If you study Paul he probably was a repressed homosexual in a very homophobic society. The man hated that part of himself as a result and railed against it in others. As an ex-smoker I can relate. The difference being is that we know smoking is unhealthy.

I’ve said for a very long time that Paul has some serious dragons chained up. Iirc he mentioned a thorn in his flesh but I don’t know if anyone knows what he was referring to.

If you study Paul, you discover that he was a product of his culture, where homosexuality was unknown as an orientation and, therefore, all same-sex acts were viewed as "unnatural." It has nothing to do with religious morals and has everything to do with the cultural taboo of the time.

We're not living in a godless world. The Bible teaches that there will be consequences for kicking God to the curb. Therefore, one should proceed at one's own risk.
Neither the bible nor flawed interpretation is God. What's being kicked to the curb is judgmentalism and bigotry. Neither of which have anything to do with God.

Lotta Christian thought is to the effect that it is sinful
to be happy.
A lot of misinformed Christians probably end up thinking that, but I'm unaware of any legitimate theological construct that doesn't have our happiness in mind.

What part of the teachings of Christ left you scarred?
It's not the teachings of Christ, it's the judgmentalism, faux piety, and bigotry that leave people scarred. Such things are presented by (possibly) well-meaning zealots as "teachings of Christ," but they are not teachings of Christ.

With Jesus himself, it's that such an allegedly "loving" and "forgiving" and "merciful" entity is still super obsessed with eternal damnation, punishment, furnaces and darkness.
I don't think that's the case, but I can see how you might think so.
