Religious experiences compared to LAFS

LAFS - love at first sight

Have any here actually experienced LAFS? I mean, knowing it occurred when it occurred rather than looking back, and if so, have you also experienced anything religious that might have initiated any conversion into a belief? How did they compare?

This intrigues me somewhat, since I have experienced LAFS, and it did feel like nothing I have ever experienced before. But later I did see it for what it was.

Yes i have experienced this. Before i met my now fianceè i had always been single, and i started to think i would never find anyone who wanted to be with me. then i decided to just call out into the universe that I gave up finding the right one for me.
Then 3 weeks later she appeared in front of me and we talked for hours, and since then we been together. and planning to marry next year.

I've had no such religious experiences.

I've not had a physical or spiritual love at first sight experience.

My spiritual awakening occurred more slowly as over time I became aware that there was more than just physical existence. It was more like the opening of a flower and not an explosion of feelings.

Although I can't know that what I experienced is what everyone else might feel, from what I have read it appears so, and it's possible that any seen as such are fulfilling a deep need, and this person ticks all the boxes, perhaps being the 'other half' that makes one or life complete. That is, subconsciously we might have an 'ideal' other, even if we might not have recognised this.

When I experienced this, it did almost feel spiritual in that all barriers seemed to vanish between myself and the other, and to all actions one might take - in a completely loving sort of way. One doesn't seem to possess an ego but rather dissolving and desiring to merge with that of the other - hopefully their 'soulmate'. It is often not reciprocated - most likely isn't - since such mutual attractions are apparently quite rare. I know many discount LAFS but if one has experienced it then it might be seen as such a unique experience - which it was for me and did only occur once.

I'm curious as to how it might compare to a religious experience of a similar nature - that is, where such also happens instantaneously.
