Vitamin C question

So I have had sore throat and severe chest congestion and cough for 3 days now. It's the most physically ill I've been in a few years, but I only get sick once a year on average at most.

I think it has to do with my drug use and not eating healthy has lowered my immune system.

Anyhow I've been downin those emergency drinks that are very high in vitamin c. I've also been eating lots of fruit.

But can vitamin c really work that quickly once you're already sick to boost the immune system to fight it?

You’ll get most everything you need from what I call power mix. It’s maca, cacao, ashwagandha and mucuna in a 4:4:1:1 ratio.

I could write pages on the details of why it is so good for you. Lots of synergies.

IMO the damage is not so much the toxicity of the drug (assuming methamphetamine), although that drug does do substantial damage from oxidative stress. Most of the damage and psychosis can be attributed to lack of sleep (which is incredibly bad for you) and inadequate nutrition and hydration.

Just stay awake 36 hours, and eat junk food, and you will feel what people usually call a crash or comedown. No drugs required.

Conversely, take stimulants and remember to eat, drink water and rest, even if you can’t sleep, and you will feel pretty much OK. But you will still suffer oxidative stress and the negative effects of disturbed sleep.

Citicholine, also known as CDP choline, will protect against oxidative stress.

Trying to remember the best herb I’ve found for immune system, having a brain fade on that, will post it in a minute probably.

For what it’s worth, I take prescription amphetamine daily. No problems at all. Apparently it is the stimulant of choice in Poland. Doesn’t make you crazy, and I sleep better than before it was prescribed.

Amphetamine is an abbreviation of alpha methyl phenethylamine.

Phenethylamine (PEA) is the first metabolic product of the amino acid phenylalanine, present in protein. It has the same effect as amphetamine, but its half life in the body is only minutes, before it is cleared by the enzyme MAO-B.

The methyl group added to the PEA slows down the work of MAO-B, giving amphetamine a half life of around six hours.

PEA is only found naturally in your blood during orgasm, or periods of highly focused creative work.

You can legally buy DMPEA (dimethyl phenethylamine), which is very similar to amphetamine, because it is widely used as a food additive (flavouring agent) ! ! !
It doesn’t taste good, so I have to wonder...
It is nowhere near as strong as methamphetamine, but may be useful as a substitute if you want to wean yourself off meth. Which I strongly suggest you do.
N,N-Dimethylphenethylamine - Wikipedia

Add some theacrine or methyl-liberine, (naturally occurring variants of caffeine), and you will probably not crave other stimulants.

I hope that helps.

The real simple version.
Buy some maca powder and cacao.
Put about 25 grams of maca on your muesli in the morning. Delicious.
Make a chocolate drink from quality cacao, again, about 25 grams. Add milk and sweetener to taste.

Apart from all the good neurochemicals, maca has just about every vitamin and mineral you need.
Cacao, apart from its rich (and complimentary) neurochemicals, contains HEAPS of polyphenols - which improve your immunity by keeping your microbiome healthy.

Proper treatment depends on what's causing the problem. You sound like you need professional diagnosis.

It does help but I also recommend zinc and echinacea.

I was told by a health care professional, forget the vitamin supplements just eat a minimum of 5 a day, its all the body needs. That is of course if the 5 fruit and veg portions are varied.

If i am feeling a cold coming on i usually eat a couple of oranges. I dont think its ever developed into a full blown cold for years now.

But once the cold has taken hold properly i dont think anything helps, just stay warm, drink plenty of fluids and let it run its course. Paracetamol and honey and lemon drinks ease the symptoms a little

When a doctor was asked to prescribe medication for a patients cold he replied, "i can give you this cheap analgesic which may improve the way you feel and it will take 7 days for the cold to go. Or i can prescribe an expensive antibiotic that will not improve the symptoms but you will be better in only one week"

But... A big but here, if you have bronchitis, see your doctor.

Wow! You take 15,000mg of Vitamin C per day?
Your body can usually only absorb around 2,000mg a day, the rest just goes out of the body in waste(in urine mainly).

It goes out and that is why it is safe, to absorb 2 grams a day you may need to pump 15+++ depends what form C is delivered in.

For adults, the recommended upper limit daily amount for vitamin C 2,000 mg a day. Although too much dietary vitamin C is unlikely to be harmful, megadoses of vitamin C supplements might cause:
Diarrhea
Nausea
Vomiting
Heartburn
Abdominal cramps
Kidney stones
Headache
Insomnia

I had a severe upset stomach when OD- ed, so, I limited taking it to four 1 gms. pills four times a day. Powder is more effective but my stomach would not take it unless low dose (1/8 of tea spoon). I am sure that side effects is individual thing.
