Reason and Logic Obsession

Do people neglect their innate sense of being in favor of the rules of reason and logic?

People have an inner subjective experience, an inner life. Is there not knowledge and understanding within one's own subjectivity?

America's founders believed in self evident truthes.

In today's society is the value of subjectivity too often discarded in favor of logic and reason?

Do people have subjective truth value?

Logic and reason serve well for technical work related endeavours.
But is that all there is to a person?

How much of the subjective self goes unexplored and invalidated?

Hmmm....I'm very logical but I do think that there is value in emotion that is often neglected.

I think that there needs to be both. People must be logical to determine much of the truth. However, people must be subjective to see all sides of a hypotheses or event. As they say, there are two sides to every story. I think that there may be many more than two sides.

I agree!

Emotions tell a story I think.

I do not think mankind could purge all emotions and survive.

They seem to have a cause and effect , emotions do.

Happy is a man who can resolve one's emotions.

Who is master of one's own emotions?

I know some people who do not have good emotional handle. Real deep enders!

Yeah, I try to avoid binary thinking.

My innate sense of being to follow the rules of logic and reason. I will question everything and I will use the tools God and nature have given me which happen to be logic and reason

The Ultimatum lies before you
The options seem to be set in stone.
The power to do, the will to be.
Dont I make myself everyday, what i am.
The cookie cut way that seems like all there is standing in a vaccuum.

And when i step out away from it all
I see the many roads I love
And none of them were wicked. And they all brought peace to me and no harm to others. I could walk any one of these paths, and find the friend in me.
Only one road im inclined never to walk; the road of the Ultimatum.

Love is free and freely given!

Do logic and reason ever fail? I certainly need logic and reason to justify things, or dismiss things.

I find it very hard to believe that people dont have faith or belief in something when logic and reason fail. Sometimes i need to step back and feel what i feel, and get a sense of my own emotions.

I suppose I could embrace logic and reason as a spiritual practice. I'm wondering if there's more to the story though! I mean when logic and reason fail i reach for humility, and love. Heck that is even the logical thing to do.

So if you question everything, have you questioned if there are limits to reason and logic?
Have you questioned where the rules of reason and logic come from?
Have you questioned whether there are several different ways to do reason and logic?
