That is a relief. The less corruption in government the better. Lets hope that all of it can be put behind us and that the two warring parties can get back to partying and annoying reasonable people in less frightening ways.

Honestly I am surprised about this. I thought the NYC cases would be the route to take with investigations as the DOJ is executive and Congress is well... Congress.

No. I've been saying from the start it wouldn't be surprised if everyone else was doing stuff because Trump is too stupid to get implicated in such conspiracy. Trump knows how to cheat people out of money, not run multi-level schemes that involve lawyers and provocateurs that have histories of illegal and immoral behavior.
What my point was is that some people think none of it matters that people did break the law and were arrested, and they pretend it's all nothing even though people are sitting in jail after having been found guilty.

While I can't categorically state that doing so is an indication of intelligence, perspicacity and wisdom (after all, I'm not all that convinced that, say, Jimmy Carter is all that bright...) , I don't get the folks who figure that an ability to stay OUT of the conspiracies formed by those who got him his office is the sign of stupidity.

As ignorant as even some of Trump's advisers have stated, he's certainly much more intelligent than those who still support him.

He's repeatedly pandered to the masses, and all too many just sucked it up like it was mother's milk. He said he would "drain the swamp", and yet the swamp is now ocean-sized. He said he would "Make America Great Again", and yet he is an international disgrace and has caused much division here. He said he was for the workers, and yet his tax break gives the top 1% a huge tax break while our deficit being significantly ramped-up thus throwing a burden on our children. Etc.

Some don't seem to understand that since the prevailing legal view is that a sitting president cannot be indicted, it would be fruitless for any judge to continue at this time to allow further investigations on the president himself, which is also what Mueller concluded. This is no way implies that there was no culpability by Trump, thus charges could possibly be charged after he's out of office.
