Pacifism, the Lamb of God

Would you be passive if you could?

If you had the power to make yourself safe only using inner peace and equanimity (pacifism) would you? If you knew about the relationship between peace of mind, and love, and happiness would you do it, or would you go on getting happiness from violence? To be happy and safe at the same would be nirvana.

Violence is sometimes necessary.

We use equanimity as inner peace and turn our own sufferings and dangers to naught and make ourselfs safe. Even if I had to fight, as it is, cops can easily claim to non-violence and do the same job. And, you cant kill a demon because it's by nature a facet of nothingness. Violence is no help and is left as illegal so we don't have to feel bad for it.

I'd rather bring the sword. Ruining relationships, breaking laws I don't agree with, scattering people's money all over the floor and cussing people. No need to take other people's garbage, when I know I'm right.

I like getting my hands a bit bloody from time to time when necessary. Pacifism has never really been a well-known Abrahamic trait.
If you don't love, you don't know God, because God is love.
G-d also has a rather fierce aspect and commands battles, leads armies and purges peoples.

God mentions pacifism at least 5 times through out the bible including the beginning and end; the forbidden fruit, the first commandment, non-resistence, the first horseman of the apocalypse who conquers, and armageddon the final battle between good and evil. The rest of the bible is about the fall of man and basically is why Jesus was martyred.

Not according to everyday news, its running rampart. I don't think inner peace means to withdraw from addressing the question of violence inflicted on others.

You wouldn't need violence in anyway if you were constantly happy.

Because we believe in justice.

...without violence?
