Do you have faith in God?

While I can appreciate such faith in the presence of evidence, in the absence of any evidence (experiential, empirical, or objective), why do you have faith?

Faith is built on nothing but evidence.

If it was not, then Faith would be very weak with no foundation, easily broken.

Religious faith is built on childhood indoctrination that is never refuted and continually reinforced. It is as hard to break as it would be to learn to speak without the regional accent you acquired as a child.

Well ya hit the hammer on the head with the term experience.

So lets talk about that. Do ya read a book and go oh tastes like an orange! Even if you have never have tasted one!? Well no. Do religious folks talk about a book or do they talk about their experiences?

I experience something but i have no idea. I turm to those who claim They understand because they read a book. Now what may be close to what you experienced but maybe it eventually seems confused and you leave.

Now you cant get rid of the experience what you can do is discard are the interpetations of others about that experience. And go about your business letting it devlop in you rather than running around. That is a Road less traveled.
.
In the end of the day god nature it does not matter. Same thing. If ya arent exleriencing god you arent seeing nature as it really is my friend. And if you arent experiencing nature like your on fire for god you dont understand much at all.

Does not matter church or nature. I am all about nature and its the profound. Truely fall in love with nature and then you will understand god. Not a conflict with science since there is more than just science.

Yes.

That question seems to assume a lack of evidence.

With evidence who needs faith?

For me, faith is more about *His intentions than His existence.

I'm sure He exists, I'm just not sure what He's up to.

*the pronoun is optional.

The big creator, ruler of the universe, no. But something else, I have always felt that something or somethings with power is there. Limited and localised to some degree as opposed to omnipresent, but there. I do feel sure of that and have done for a long time.

My Faith was not from childhood indoctrination.

It was by finding, then exploring, researching and accepting many facts based in logic. Not all logic can be yet proven by the outward senses. But the outward senses can validate many logical conclusions formulated on spiritual truths and ideas, as nature is a reflection of the spirit.

Greek word "faith" has built in notion that God or whatever There Is provide inner persuasion to engage one's attention.

Do you have faith in God?

No. Mainly because my religious perspective does not have a place for such a stance.

Faith is not something to direct towards deities. Or to put in in another way, it is not a deity's role to be the recipient of faith.

I probably have very little faith because I have personal evidence. Although, I think that faith connects us to God. Without faith, we cannot connect with God.

So if you had experiential evidence, you would be good with that, even if another could not verify it?

Yes, and this appears to be exactly where I stand. I have had experiential evidence of the Gods, I don't need to prove that to anyone else, just like I never expected anyone else to prove their existence to me. It was my decision to seek those things on my own.

I like being alive as well as my wanting to live beyond this life. I have faith in the Resurrected J.C.'s promise each follower of His will be re-simulated back to life when he/she stops functioning on Earth.

I don't, but I am not against people who have, unless they drum upon it; in which case, I am against faith.
I am an atheist, but I do not drum it, unless called upon to do so.
