50 years since first moon landing?

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
This year the world going to celebrate the first moon landing 50 years after. But my question is.
Did it really happen or is it fake moon landing made in a studio?
What is your thoughts?

I have no reason to believe the moon landing was faked.

Do you realize how difficult it would have been to bring a studio to the moon in 1969 to fake a moon landing?

Bring a studio to the moon? If it was faked the studio would be on earth, not on the moon.
I dont say it was faked, but a question that arise often is, why do they not go back with people there now, when technology is so much more advanced then in1969.

My comment about bringing a studio to the moon was tongue-in-cheek.

For what purpose would we send people to the moon?

It did happen.
But the most squalid aspect of all this is that the US did not use an inimaginable budget out of love for science.
It was just a political goal...to show the world "the moon is ours". Not the Soviets'.

That is why, once achieved that goal, they are not interested in wasting more money on new lunar missions. Even if NASA, ESA, Roscosmos, could join forces and budgets.

Rocket technology has not advanced so much. It still requires about the same amount of fuel to leave Earth, and going to the moon is all about the fuel. Fuel is everything, and the more fuel you need the bigger your rocket must be. Only the US had the ability to build a really big rocket at the time. Soviets had many firsts in space, but a lot of its stuff went bang. It was crippled by its infrastructure. NASA had the advantage of a capitalist industry, limited only by funding; and it had a lot of funding.

Secondly you can use a telescope to look up and see that things have been put onto the moon.

Thirdly it is well known that the USSR denied the event, which confirmed it.

Our computer technology is much better than then, but our rockets are subject to the same constraints. Getting to the moon takes a LOT of energy. After we went to the moon a few times, the public lost interest and NASA decided to invest in the Space Shuttle and Space Station, which are *low* Earth orbit. At this point, the US doesn't have a heavy lifting rocket---we have been dependent on Europe and Russia for much of our lifting of things into orbit.

Did we go? Yes. Given the political climate at the time, the USSR would have been MORE than happy to expose a fraud, and such would have been *trivial* to reveal. This is not to mention the steps taken along the way that are well documented.

I do not know :) We should understand our own planet first before going elsewhere :)
Understanding other planetary bodies and moons and stars and solar systems, and such helps us understand our own planet. For instance, having actually gone to the moon and brought back rocks from it, points to us that the moon was part of the earth itself that had gotten split away from it during its early formation when it was smashed by another body about the size of Mars. To understand things outside of Earth, helps to shed light on what we are looking at here. It provides a larger context of reality.

BTW, to doubt the moon landing, is on the level of doubting the spherical shape of the earth in favor of a flat earth. It's a form of mental illness at this point, seeing conspiracies lurking around every corner, "fake photos of the earth from outer space", and such.

The billionaires still don't have enough money. So we can't afford to go gallivanting off to the moon for no other reason than to say that we did it.

How did they afford it in 1969?
The billionaires never had/have enough money, and they never will. But in 1969, they were only multi-millionaires, rather than billionaires, and so they could not afford to buy and control the major governments of the world like they can, today. Back then, governments were still able to do really useless and stupid things on their own, like send big metal cans with humans in them into space, and even off to the moon, to show each other how big their technological penises are. Now days, their governmental penises have been removed by the billionaire oligarchs that own them. So they can't do that sort of inter-spacial ego-tripping anymore.

As @Rival said, it happened.

My view on why people believe otherwise.......
We live in an age of specialization, with our work & socialization balkanized.
In our society, most people lack a technical background, both in education &
in work experience. And even of those with such a background, only a minority
are in aerospace fields. So it's very small minority of Ameristanians who actually
have any direct experience with space travel & supporting industry.
The others...the vast unwashed teeming masses know only what they see
on TV & in movies. For all they know, Harry Potter could be a documentary.

Now, imagine the plight of the ordinary human....they know what they know of the
world from flipping burgers, cleaning windows, framing houses, selling shoes, etc.
They see movies like Apollo 13 & Capricorn One. The 1st portrays space travel as
real, the latter shows it was faked. Which is a plumber or bank teller to believe?
They have no sound basis from which to judge the movies' cromulence.
Add to this the internet....everything is true there. Whatever one believes, one
will find kindred spirits in a highly convincing echo chamber.

Thus, belief vs disbelief would depend upon several factors....
- Random chance, eg, seeing one movie but not the other.
- Are they inclined to believe in evil government conspiracies or not?
- Does landing on the Moon seem just too unreal...too good to be true?
- Do they have curiosity, keen reasoning skills & functioning BS detector?

Here's the bestest argument that NASA couldn't have faked the Moon landings....
NASA, contractors, & subcontractors have tens of thousands of employees.
The conspiracy to fake the landings, & keep the secret would depend upon
no one divulging the fraud, methods, & evidence. Yet Wikileaks & other
whistleblower types have turned up zip, zilch, nichts, nada, nothing, & bupkis.

Look at the kind of people who've run government....AOC, Dubya, Trump,
Hillary, Carlos Danger, Hank Johnson & every other loony bozo.
Ask yourself....
Is the federal government so competent that they could flawlessly
manage such a sophisticated conspiracy lasting over half a century?
If you believe that, then I have a free energy machine to sell you.

As Samantha Cristoforetti, ESA astronaut said, her dream is to go to the moon someday. The technology is available and is much nore advanced than in the 70s but the fuel costs are...astronomical. And for now, not compatible with ESA budgets

You'd be surprised how much money the government was willing to pour into projects if it meant beating the Ruskies.
And in this case we had more than enuf money....we had incredible
motivation & dedication. That really does make a huge difference.

This is a perfect example of how false info circulates, & those who
don't know better will buy it. One can present challenges such as....
FACT CHECK: Did Stanley Kubrick Fake the Moon Landings?
But how would an ordinary schlub know which to believe?
Get read for things to worsen....
You thought fake news was bad? Deep fakes are where truth goes to die
