Wel live in this written reality of the intenet. This new digital era reminds me of antiquity of the printing press, revolutionary and this reality in its radical changing aspects. .
Religion as it stands today is very much the parent of this reality and outmoded for this written reality at the same time. Or and true the medium itself is deeply outmoded for religion. That is an interesting issue itself.
My guess is religion abandons this reality and moves to a different form. Very possibly oral tradition as its main expression of communication. That might at first glance seem absurdly luddite. I did not say they will be illiterate. I might say the exact opposite. I simply said this medium itself is not ideal to the needs of religion i think its deeply outmoded rather old and rather not ideal. Primative comes to mind in regards to these written symbols actually, to convey religious truths.
When i say religion, thats a broader term than many can imagine.
Any thoughts?
