Reminds me of the time when he asked a swearing of loyalty where he was clearly making a joke of it and it was likened to a Nazi rally by some media outlets. The way this was reported and recycled came across as just more contrived huff and puff and heads asplodin from the TDS crowd. Those opposed to Trump will get their chance to vote him out in 2020, things aren't looking good for the dems.
Well you know the thing about Trump is that his kidney had a special place in his heart, and his head has a special place up his ***.

What would be interesting is keeping count of how many times racism and sexism is mentioned by dems from this point on. I imagine the rhetoric will be ramped up in the lead up to 2020. It seems the Mueller report recently took a blow as well, a Florida judge ruled an indictment is not proof which pretty much destroys about half the claims about Russian influence in the report. Mueller will be testifying soon and dems are already having fits because he has already stated his testimony is in the report, what else did they expect?

Trump's true-believers will defend anything and everything that their idol says and does, so there's really no mystery with why he repeatedly gets away with so much utter depravity.
And what he does is what most successful tyrants do, namely to pander to the crowds through the heavy use of patriotic and religious cliche's matched with using they versus us hyperbole, along with stereotyping and blaming "fake news" as a whipping-boy.
But, as we can see, it's working right here in the U.S.A., much like it did in fascist Spain, Italy, and Germany in the 1930's and 40's. Franco, Mussolini, and Hitler were very popular during the hay-day as they knew which buttons to push to get much of their public behind them. They pandered and then pandered some more by telling people what they want to hear, even if that was even illogical and unreasonable to those who actually study and look at things objectively. So...

Trump may be a gross individual, but I still don't see him losing 2020 unless the Dems decide to go for a moderate candidate who can actually pull some Trump supporters away and gain widespread independent support. A progressive candidate won't be able to cut it.
Stoked by fear. "Bad ambreas, rapists, drug dealers.... those Jews, those Gypsies, those Muslims, those Mexicans....". Yes, the pattern is set and is being played out again right before our eyes. Same thing, just give it a little push and we're ready to repeat history again. "Buyers (Trump supporters) beware".
