Why is Scandinavia so expensive to visit?

Can someone explain why there's such a huge difference in your costs compared to the earlier companies?

Higher standard of living. Like someone going to new york. From some rural area. They travel around the world its cheap to them.

Family didn't find such wherever they were in Denmark & Norway.

Oooh...haven't been to Norway, but that is supposed to be the most expensive part of Scandanavia.

I split time between Stockholm, Copenhagen and Linkoping (Sweden), plus brief stopover in Helsinki.
Done that trip twice,about 6 weeks all up.

Linkoping was the cheapest for food, Copenhagen most expensive of those. However I was working in Linkoping, holidaying in Copenhagen, so definitely going to nicer places when I was in Denmark.
