What does the Bible say about the origins of the Earth in relation to what science say?

Does The Bible go into any details as to why God will no longer create things?.....................
I never read that God will No longer create things, but that God is now resting from his creative works of Genesis.
As God's 7th rest day was still in effect in the first century, it apparently is still on going now - Hebrews 4:4-11.
Jesus knew he and his God are still working as per John 5:17 just Not as in new material creation.

I wonder if there is any science that can prove the non-existence of God.
Seem to me your statement is about the premise about the non-existence of God.
There is a lot of history that shows that all gods are merely the creation of man's imaginings.

Do you think Atlas is something other than the creation of man's imaginings?
Do you think Allah is something other than the creation of man's imaginings?
Do you think Shiva is something other than the creation of man's imaginings?

In God's eyes a thousand years is as a day.- Psalms 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8
So, once Adam sinned No one could live longer than a thousand-year day.
Thus, Adam died at age 930, and the oldest person at age 969 years - Genesis 5:5; Genesis 5:27

As far as the ' creative days ' there is Nothing in Scripture to indicate how long each creative day was or even if they are of the same length of time or of differing lengths of time.
ALL of the creative days are summed up by the singular word ' day ' at Genesis 2:4.
God's 7th day was still on going in the first century as per Hebrews 4:4-11.

Nothing you wrote affects Ussher's calculations.

Your Eternal, Omnipotent God did nothing for 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999%+ of his existence. Then He worked for six days. For the past 6000 years, He has been resting.

Really a go-getter. Rip van Winkle was more productive. Heck, your average ant is more productive.

Resting from more 'creative works', but still working as Jesus said at John 5:17 and John 6:28-29
Now is the time to accomplish 'spiritual works' - Matthew 28:18-20..
Working at overseeing the now international accomplishment of Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8 that the good news message about God's kingdom government of Daniel 2:44 is now at its final global phase.
At the 'final world-wide phase' because God's people are hard worker ants.

Shacks mate!
Dont you even know that God the Creator created Time and Space as well as matter?
In your arrogance you think God is caught up in His creation as you are.
No...
God did not live for billions of billions of billions of years, because we are bound to Time because of the Sun and Earth in relation to each other!
God created the Sun and Earth to be signs of Tine for us. it is just by chance that we age accordingly that we perceive time as our ageing.
Before the Universe was created, there was no time.
Actually, the Bible say before the Sun and Earth was created, time did not exist.
Science also claim the same with the fact that they determine the Universe to be at least 12.5 billion years old, and the Solar system only 5.5 billion years.
So, how do they measure Time for 7 billion years with the absence of the Sun?

Furthermore, the Universe and Earth are not how God created it originally, for Paul even say all creation moans under the entrance of sin.
We know from the Bible that Adam was created immortal, but that sin entered creation and he started to age and eventually he died.

I am of opinion that the life hereafter is without time and space as we know it.
We will be a force in the presence of God away from age, health, death, time, space etc.
can I explain it.
No, only by what the Biblical descriptions tell me, but it must be great to live without any naturalistic laws such as Gravity, space, etc.

That is another myth. An even more obvious one. The Ark myth was refuted long before the theory of evolution came along.
wow! realy?
Did you see the Evolution Myth was refuted by Behe in his Darwin's black box?
I loved his scientific facts!
Especially since Dawkins refuses to debate him on evolution.

And I ask you again:
"Why do you bite lions?"
Its ok, some just are not very self aware.

Not that 93 pounds of me is exactly a lion but
the other proportions match.

"A flea jumped into a lion's cage and bit that lion good,
And then he stood on the lion's mangy mane, as a conquering hero should.
He said, 'Oh witness, my power and my might,
I've conquered that lion with one mighty bite.
He does not roar, he does not growl, although his mood is black
He's lying there and doesn't even dare to try and bite me back!
A mighty flea am I, a mighty flea am I.'

Now concerning this flea, one sad thing must be written:
That lion didn't even know that he'd been bitten.
And the moral of this story is painfully plain:
That fleas, like human beings, are silly and vain.

Ha, I am just quoting your hero,Obama.

As for universe-poof, that is a gross oversimplification
of physics.

But never mind, the bit about cow-poof
was what I was looking at. Can we discuss what
is in my post, not what is not?

Instant creation of all life forms is so pre-19th century;
I'd not brag too much on a supposed church-insight
that takes a lot of "interpreting" to get to fit, when there
is something as silly as cow- poof still clung to,
bitterly, or otherwise.
Hey Audie Poof.
Physics, especially Stephen hawkins claim that about 15 to 18 billion years ago the Universe came into existance by...
POOF!

My belief is that the god character in the Bible is a less than credible entity who is more than likely the creation of its authors.
I would like to ask you only one question.
Please, if you can, tell the truth.
Have you ever read the Bible?
If you didnt, no problem.
I just can not figure out why you are saying everything you do, whilst I read it and find the opposite.

Except if you look at the lineages of the people mentioned in Jesus' genealogy, the NT leaves people out.

The probable reason that the NT settles on 14 generations is that the name 'David' has a numerical value of 14 in the Hebrew language. It was just more mystical story telling.

Thanks for affirming my point that we cannot take the given generations and come up with a true age for the Flood. Appreciate you!

"Sons" can be notable descendants. But the bible uses the term "begat".
6And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
9And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:
12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:

People may try to ignore or argue against Bishop Ussher's work because of the inescapable conclusion it reaches. But, as I stated earlier...Look at Bishop Ussher's calculations and tell us where he is wrong. If you can't, then you must agree with ~6000 years.

Alternatively, you could just admit that the Biblical genealogies are just fantasies like the rest of the Bible.

Well, perhaps you are right!

Please name all the outstanding world leaders, empires and accomplishments (cities, industries, philosophies) you know about that are extant prior to 4000 BC. As a gedanken, I ask you to do so now from memory (no Google cheating):

I'm caught up in His creation? Is that what you think. How silly. Didn't you see that I'm an atheist?

What arrogance? I'm just pointing out "facts" as believed by many:
God is eternal - He has always existed
God created everything in six days.

It's only when you have to stop and think about it that you, momentarily at least, see how ludicrous it is.

Before the Universe was created, there was no time. Actually, the Bible say before the Sun and Earth was created, time did not exist.

But you do insist that God has always existed. Regardless of when He created the universe and time, He existed before that forever and forever. During that timeless period of forever, He did nothing.

Science also claim the same with the fact that they determine the Universe to be at least 12.5 billion years old, and the Solar system only 5.5 billion years.
So, how do they measure Time for 7 billion years with the absence of the Sun?

It's really unbelievably sad that you ask such a question. Perhaps you should privately ask some of the fundamentalists.

Furthermore, the Universe and Earth are not how God created it originally, for Paul even say all creation moans under the entrance of sin.
We know from the Bible that Adam was created immortal, but that sin entered creation and he started to age and eventually he died.

What sin? Disobeying God by partaking of the forbidden fruit? Your God intentionally created Adam to fail. Or, do you not believe that your God is omniscient? Do you not believe that your God is omnipotent?

So, you are admitting that the Bible contains lies when it was convenient for the authors to insert them.

Maybe the authors also lied about the Flood and the Ark.

Maybe the authors also lied about Adam & Eve.

Maybe the authors also lied about God creating anything in any period of time.

WOW! You are really trying to insert a major diversion here. Who cares about world leaders.

The genealogies in the Bible are either true or they are fiction. If they are true, they can be used to pinpoint the age of The Flood.

If they are false, then everything else in the Bible can be false also. How do you decide?
