Higher standard of living. Like someone going to new york. From some rural area. They travel around the world its cheap to them.

Maybe it's because they're better than most other places?

Far East costs almost the same and the culture is different so I'll just go to Japan and South Korea instead. I'll add 5 nights Berlin because I've never been to Germany

Try Indiana. The experience may not be as good, but it's cheaper.

Or Ohio. You'll get an historic tour of my apartment (but the history only goes back a bit more than two years).

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind retiring there. From what I understand, its a mild (though wet) winter and a cool summer.

Besides, I spent many years in Youngstown, OH. Second in the country to only your neck of the woods in overcast days.

It costs roughly the same as a trip to South Korea and Japan!

Highlights of Scandinavia & Helsinki - 12 Days 11 Nights - Nordic Visitor

The Nordic Countries in a Nutshell - 14 Days 13 Nights - Nordic Visitor

Unless this particular tour company is expensive?

I guess airfare would be dependent upon where you're coming from. I took a quick glance at hotels in Stockholm, and the rates seem comparable to any U.S. city.

I think food is quite a bit more expensive, though.

WWMRD?
That is actually pretty cheap but it doesn't hurt to shop around and definitely do your research on the travel agency if you go that route. My wife and daughter took the grandkids to Disneyworld a few years ago in Florida and it was quite a bit more than that, I had no interest in it.

Oh its absolutely stunning. Just wet enough to keep a lot of folks away like they are going to melt or something. To be honest, i have a klr 650 and i can probably explore just this area the rest of my life and not have to take a trip anywhere.

I am easily entertained in the smallest aspects of nature. I think that is a secret of mine. How to see nature with fresh new eyes daily like its the first time. Thats real growing.

Mrs Revolt & daughter recently traveled there, after planning their
own budget minded trip. (We're all cheapskates.) It's really spendy.
One problem is the lack of cheap fast food...people like more formal
sit down meals.

Come on down to Georgia. Especially if ya got a purdy mouf! It's was only 90°F with 89% humidity today. It's like a free sauna everytime you step outside. Now that's luxurious!

Buffets everywhere!!

But the pizza was good value for money (not cheap, but crazy big!), and most of the hotels seem to include all you can eat breakfast. Couple of meals a day was generally enough, that being the case. Course, I was worried about food 'eating' into my drinking time anyway.

You'll have to tell me where that was.
Family didn't find such wherever they were in Denmark & Norway.
