Amish insane asylums?

I have known people personally who had to be physically restrained on a daily basis for being psychotic.

Where do these people go in an Amish community when having such a mental health crisis?

In October 2014, a research team published findings that people with a rare form of genetic dwarfism, known as Ellis-van Creveld Syndrome (EvC), are protected from developing bipolar disorder. The findings, derived from the study of an Old Order Amish community in Lancaster County, Pa., are “a paradigm-changing discovery” that could “dramatically change the way we diagnose and treat” bipolar and other affective disorders, said lead author Dr. Edward Ginns of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in a press release.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
They keep them locked and chained up in the back wood shed that they don't show to anybody and feed and provide water when nobody is looking.

Since bi polar is neurosis of neurological type which itself isnt gene specific i might suggest a better handle on the actual causalities. But thats impossible in a straight up scientific way.

once again we return to the therapist as an ear and guide rather than a fixer. Bi polar manifests in 1-2% of the population. As far as i can tell probably .5% of that population are not remotely self aware enough to begin breathing exercises and self monitoring.

If they cant monitor their moods, learn to take time outs, then they eventually spin out if not on meds for a lifetime. Normal folks do some of this more easily and naturally. Usually.

Bed, rest, quiet... I have no idea what the percentage is but my guess that there are less than general population due to lifestyle. That said its still a"belief" framework culturally and that alone for some folks is absolutely not healthy regardless.

That can lead some people into mental disorders, simply by parroting the culture around them. Why not everyone? Most are carriers!!!! You dont have a decent immune system pope to be normal give it up! Learn to breathe and this site is not healthy if you arent self aware enough and have issues. Jung said "mystics swim where the mentally ill drown". A lot of that is because they are grounded and self aware.
