Christians on afterlife

PoetPhilosopher

I'm not a Christian, I'm highly skeptical of Jesus but not as much God. I think the world needs more sex and rock'n'roll. Am I going to hell?

And don't say "Only God knows." Because the fact Christians preach about people going to hell if they don't repent, suggests they have spiritual insight into the matter.

It's a controversial question. But I won't get upset if you say "yes".

I can't say for sure no one can, but as there is no evidence there is any god or afterlife, I am hopeful that dead means one never comes to life again.

Still, those who preach on hell, granted the majority of Christians don't, are intentionally or unintentionally accepting the premise that some of us will go to hell. I think.

Then againif God says he visited his people in a foreign country, saved them from oppression, appeared to the whole nation and showed them He exists, promised He will get down to the creation where we live, promised he will give us everlasting life, became a human, lived amongst us, was killed and became the only man ever to rise from the dead, in fromt of everyone he ascended into heaven....
This is obviously not enough evidence for you.
I wonder what you would say if there was any digital recordings at that time?
Anyhow, evidence, what evidence do you want that will prove to you that there is a God?
That He shows Himself to You?
Then He will make you so special because you are sure that if He does show Himself to you, that you will worship Him.
Serious, will you?
I doubt anyone that is so in love with themself will want to worship a God.

"Christians preach about people going to hell if they don't repent"

Its always appealing to say christians=xyz therefore....which is nonsense...

Its like saying all atheists=xyz therefore...which is nonsense.

I might say:
"Christians who preach about people going to hell if they don't repent are hell come to life"

so yes hell literally exists. Its wallowing in self importance, or sin, which one has to work at when reading the bible actually.

Eventually that goes extinct unfortunately not in our lifetimes. But someday, like 10,000 years at this pace.

There is no hell, just 'compartmentalized' afterlife depending on your mistakes in the life you head in physical body.

Proof, the majority of christianity is whacko virtualism. This is a serious problem.

The text is not a map of the territory its the experience of the territory. You have zero idea what you are even talking about and exist in a walking daydream fantasy.

I suggest Burning the text start over go for a hike in nature. Nature leads you to the text, its not a map about the landscape. Your vision is confused and not christian at all.

I don't believe any one or thing should be worshipped including a god.

Nope,
What we say is that you can attain everlasting life, and be guaranteed of it if you accepted what Jesus said!
Thats all.
It is up to you to decide if you want the guarantee or not.
many people never knew Jesus, but the Bible is clear, we will be judged by our actions. If we were Jews, we will be judged by the Torah.
if we lived under the law, we will be judged by the law.
If we did not have the law, we will be judged by our concience.
What do you say, will you be safe from this judgement?
What does your concience tell you?
Furthermore,
just something to keep in mind.
God is love and Life, in Him is no death.
Death is the absence of God.
If you enter eternety as an immortal being, but removed from God, you will be a immortal carcass forever.
Because you chose not to be with the presence of the creator.

If you say there must be more sex and rock n roll,
do your concience tell you that it is fine with God to have created a ****?
Or was this your own choice.
You mistake pure love with lust.
God created Man and Woman as a family bond.
To have children where Man will work and protect, and the Woman will nourish and nurture.
This is His institution.
Not having everyone running around like animals having sex wherever with whoever.

Rock n Roll, no problem.
Some songs are great, some vulgar.

Depends on who you sleep with and listen to.

When married to my ex, i listened to meatloafs "praying for the end of time" so hell was upon me!!!

Thats what i get for marrying fullbright scholar!

Which obviously does not destroy the Christian Gospel of salvation.
Your statement can be used against Atheism too.
if I were to say, THE MAJORITY OF ATHEISM IS WACKY VIRTUALISM, just look at Stalin, and I rest my case.

if there are Christians who does wrong things, is this somehow evidence that God does not exist.
If this is what you say, my answer is:
What virtualism are you living in?

Would you settle for a seat in purgatory? It's not as rough as hell, more like a very long "time-out" in the corner of heaven where you're supposed to reflect on everything you did wrong for a specified time before you can go out and play. [By the way, personally ... at this time, I don't believe there's a hell, just heaven. Of course, if you don't want to be there, it's hell.]

If God said this, it would be powerful evidence.
Humans claiming it, and backing up their claims with ancient implausible stories, is not powerful evidence.
Not even close.

God does not want us to worship God. God wants us to respect God and fellow human beings.
I respect other humans if they are deserving of respect. The Biblical god certainly doesn't deserve respect if it exists as it is evil.

Here is what I was trying to say in my posts. A person who tells others including atheists that people go to hell, shouldn't have a problem either:

1. Telling people directly to their face given they accept they have spiritual insight.

2. If they don't claim to have spiritual insight, they are most likely accepting the Bible by its word. In which case, they should talk about how their supreme use of the Bible to the extent they're telling everyone else what to do, isn't a form of idolism.

Jesus said if you don't repent of your sins and receive him as Lord and Savior
you will end up in Hell

1 So did Jesus speak the truth

2 or was he a liar and deceiver and it was right to put him to death
