another thread is titled.....can you lose salvation?

this thread jumps to the next situation
even if you DO enter heaven.....could you be thrown out?

the story I got.....God's Favored led a rebellion
He and one third of heaven lost their positions

apparently
even if you are God's Favored
your position can be revoked

and grace is defined as.....allowance

if you walk among the angelic
it's because they allow it

Could not answer the question, because the view here of 'heaven' is ancient mythology.

You cannot lose what does not exist.

I think the New Testament doesn't speak so much about going to heaven as being with God. The ultimate treasure is God. I see more talk in the new testament about ;departing and being with the Lord' than a phrase like 'going to heaven' The gospel in Romans is described as 'the gospel of God'

In any case the book of Hebrews says 'the Lord himself says 'I will never leave you or forsake you' "

I think it boils down to whether you really belong to Jesus, are saved or not to start with.
I believe in perseverance of the saints. Those who are saved by Jesus will persevere to the end.

God is in heaven since God is Spirit.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Jesus said He was example for us, we need to follow example, right?

Some people believe in the "once saved always saved" idea.

I'm not a fan of that.

It is possible God works this way, by not revoking salvation.

But I've seen too many people take advantage of it and go on to so terrible things because they think they've got their ticket to heaven already.

So I live by the "gotta stay focused" and live as a Christian everyday model.

Not the I am a Christian only on Sunday model.

Some days I do well, some days I fail miserably. But I try to do my best everyday.
