The Christian Right Is Going All Out to Make Sure Donald Trump Gets Re-Elected

"Now that Donald Trump has put refugee children in concentration camps, nearly bombed Iran over problems he created, been accused of rape (again), inspired a rash of White Nationalism, and continued his assault on our democracy through his constant barrage of lies, how are white evangelical Christians going to respond in 2020?

They’re gearing up to keep him in office for another four years.

According to The Hill, Christian Right groups preparing to spend tens of millions of dollars to register their voters and paint Democrats as the real extremists.

The Faith and Freedom Coalition will spend tens of millions of dollars on a voter mobilization effort that aims to register 1 million Christians in key battleground states and reach 30 million people nationwide.

The group, which is led by conservative activist Ralph Reed, will pump literature into more than 100,000 churches across 18 states, primarily focusing on the presidential battlegrounds but also with an eye on contested House and Senate races.

The Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List, an anti-abortion rights group, has a budget of $41 million this campaign cycle to “expose the extremism of Trump’s opponents,” among other initiatives.

And the Family Research Council’s political action arm is activating its network of churches and community impact teams in North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas to turn out the vote.

All that because, no matter what else he’s done, Trump has been able to get anti-abortion judges (with lifetime appointments) on federal benches at a record pace.

So what if a bunch of minorities suffer as long as white fetuses get to live…?

The way I see and I'm not American BTW, is that their motivation/s to get Trump reelected is in their view, a way to ensure a safeguard of their culture (at least for another four years or so) in a culture that's becoming increasingly hostile to their values and their way of life. They see him as their last hope of keeping some sense of control, or of having an authoritative voice in a world in which they are continually losing their influence. The goal is basically to keep Trump in as long as possible to savour the last bits of Christian dominance before they lose it all to those pesky liberals/progressives.

I'm going to bet the Christian right will now see Trump as a changed man for the better rather than be so judgmental towards his distant past.

Now that Donald Trump has put refugee children in concentration camps,

Citation needed.

nearly bombed Iran

How can you be guilty of "nearly" doing something? LoL

been accused of rape (again),

Yes again with no evidence or police report filed. Convenient eh?

inspired a rash of White Nationalism

I think Obama is more guilty of that tbh.

and continued his assault on our democracy through his constant barrage of lies,

Considering the lies like these lefties spread it's safe to say they are the threat biggest threat.

Translation: they're willing to turn a blind eye toward his degeneracy in exchange for him paying lip service and pulling strings for their agenda.
The question is, though... do they genuinely believe that their god is also willing to turn a blind eye?

I was going to say that I'm guessing that they'll call this all a leftist conspiracy to defame the leader of the "free world"...that they weren't refugees but illegal immigrants, and that considerable restraint and statesmanship was displayed in only "nearly" bombing Iran, that White Nationalism is probably not the only rash Trump can be blamed for and that the so-called "barrage of lies" was not constant at all but that he nearly told the truth on several occasions...but @Enoch07 beat me to it!

They are correct. The term right means correct, the term left originally meant sinister. So just based on logic they are right and lefties are sinister.

Elaborate.

Well it's easy. An African American man got elected to PoTuS that would incite white supremacist would it not?

Perhaps I should have specified Obama inadvertently inspired white supremacist, just to be more accurate.

And Obama should be faulted for that? Besides, there is an obvious difference between being the target of hated and fanning hatred toward others.

I more concerned about the false allegations of concentration camps and gas chambers I've heard lefties yell about with no proof of.

Tell me how you "nearly" do something? Do or do not there is no "nearly". ;)

White nationalism was around before Trump was born. Perhaps you should study up on world history. Here ya go: Nazi Germany - Wikipedia

I never said he should be faulted. But him getting elected did have the unfortunate effect of firing up the white supremacist.

Meh. Unless the Democrats pull their **** together and start offering a viable alternative who offers to address the issues most voters want addressed, Trump's gunna win again any way.

Er...um...OK - its like how you 'nearly' posted a sensible argument...hmmm...I do see what you mean - OK - I'll give you that one - you can't nearly post a sensible argument - it either sensible or a pile of horse crap and yours was...er...nearly sensible.

Anyway, joking (which I was - as you may - or may not - have noticed) aside...I'm aware that white supremacism has been and will continue to be around for a long time - and Trump has not and will not be - but that's pretty irrelevant really...the relevant question is how can a Christian worshiper of the "God of Love and Truth and Mercy" justify supporting such a person to be President?

No worries.

Because we (the U.S.) needed jobs and economic stability. We want immigrants to be treated fairly and migrate legally and contribute to society vs being burden to society and a cheap source of illegal labor that can't form unions or report atrocities to authorities for fear of deportation.

Despite whatever conspiracy theories the left comes up with to justify why Trump won. The reasons I listed above is the main reasons why people voted for him. If people was only allowed to vote for candidates that was pure as the driven snow, we would never have any politicians. :p

I'm not seeing allot of substance coming from the left lately.
