He was in synagogues and in rural areas. He was a teacher, one among many. he attracted people but was not out there yelling on the streets.
Right, it's about volume.
It's like the story of Noah pre-deluge. He shouted and warned the people that the Lord was going to cleanse the world with a great flood. And all who would be saved should enter the ark.
Those within hearing distance scoffed, shouted him down, called him crazy.
Till that first raindrop struck their face.
When it started to pour the family were all inside the ark and in safety. While the damned, the scoffers, the fallen, the wicked, were screaming to be let in long after it was too late to hearken to the call to salvation.
Jesus was not one teacher among many.
When Jesus was in the streets his works spoke volumes. He healed the blind, embraced and healed the leper. Made the lame to walk. And raised the dead.
And in the street before the temple he overturned the money changers tables and took after them with a whip he'd made by hand. Because they were defiling the house of the Father. That was quite a scene.
