Trump says Iran made ‘big mistake’ by taking down US drone

My use of "kids" includes those naive, freshly minted recruits who aren't old enough to drink but old enough to be sent out to kill some evil brown people so some rednecks back home can touch themselves at the thought.
You sure don't like us "rednecks".
Well, I see greater diversity in those wanting war.
And does age of the soldiers really matter?
Wrongful killing of people (who aren't really "brown") shouldn't be about age.

The Persians are Aryan hence the name Iran, land of the Aryans

I didn't volunteer, so I'm not going.
How so very easy and convenient for you to want to see other people go kill and be killed.
I think differently. If we must respond to Iran's provocations, I think we should hit them hard enough with airstrikes to cow them.

I am a very peaceful person and always willing to walk away, but if forced to fight, you must hit them so hard they don't get up and hit you again.
When has that actually solved anything between the West amd Middle East? Its been decades of doing that. There needs to be a completely different approach than **** away American lives for a net and gross loss of everything involved.

I hear that a lot.
So I wonder why we waste so much effort counting votes.

That's to maintain the illusion.

As Boss Tweed once said, "I don't care who does the electing, as long as I get to do the nominating." It's the nominating process which narrows down the choices to two at the general election. It really doesn't matter who wins at that point, since they'd have to be at least somewhat friendly to vested interests (such as the MIC) to even get to that point.

Btw, even the elites in his own party opposed him, so clearly
there must be some other mechanism at work here.

Trump faced a lot of opposition at first, so it was definitely not stacked in his favor. But the rest of the Republican field of candidates couldn't defeat Trump. I was somewhat surprised to see it when it happened.

I think it was probably a case where something went awry or didn't go exactly as planned. I think that's why there's been all this hubbub over collusion and Russian interference. If nothing else, these revelations would demonstrate just how easy it is for a group of well-financed operators to fix a US general election.

So, perhaps some US-based machine thought they had the election fixed, but then the Russians butted in and fixed it again. So, now, they're really p*ssed at the Russians for screwing up their game.

I'm not seeing where Trump or we benefit from what that does to the price of oil.

It depends on what happens to the price of oil. Hypothetically, if we take over Iran, we could seize their oil as a spoil of war. We could call it "Victory Oil" and sell it to Americans at substantially reduced prices. It would be Trump's gift to the American people. It might be worth a few million votes in the general election.

Iran needs to take number and wait behind NK.

We drop bombs. That's what we do. Now they want to provoke us? I say give them what they're essentially asking for.
Where would you like to drop your bombs?
You do realise that many folks might believe that your drone was not out at sea but in Irananian air-space.??

Hmmmm.......... war-mongering?

They're a hostile regime.
But you are a peaceful nation?
Plesase see above.

As Boss Tweed once said, "I don't care who does the electing, as long as I get to do the nominating."
Boss Tweed never anticipated Trump.
Loathed though he be, Trump is clearly someone who rose to
power without any cabal placing him there. Voters did that.
So I say that voting works...just not always for the better.

I keep hearing about this MIC, but no one has ever presented
any evidence that this super secret super power even exists.

Btw, I worked in the defense industry, & never saw this fabled
control over government. What have you seen?

Do you vote?

Attack a foreign country...kill them off....steal their resources...& sell'm cheap
to the teeming masses at home, eh. How could that go wrong!

I didn't volunteer, so I'm not going. Everyone has that choice, and those who volunteer are fully aware of what they're signing when they join the armed forces.
So you'd send pilots and crews in to danger, and risk terrible reprisals, while you sit safely?

We learn yet more about you.

...Besides, the rules of war have changed. We just drop bombs now.
Have you ever thought of a more Christian approach?
