Yep, I was totally wrong to worry about escalation between US and Iran

"In a major provocation, Iran shot down an unarmed and unmanned U.S. RQ-4A Global Hawk drone while it was flying in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz Thursday, U.S. Central Command confirmed in a statement."

Iran says it's 'ready for war' after US military confirms it shot down American drone

Personally, I'm skeptical of the facts in the story, but either way, that's another step toward a shooting war.

Shooting down a drone is a "major provocation"?

Maybe Trump and Bolton thinks its beneficial for the world to think they're mad dog crazy.

War in Iran will set the middle east back 50 years.
What part of any of this do you think Trump, let alone Bolton, are doing for the benefit of the Middle East??

Meanwhile:

Today in the Kashmir 4 Indian troops were killed by separatists.

In Nigeria 3 Boko Haram suicide bombers killed at least 30 people.

11 people were killed and 20 injured by twin explosions in Mogadishu, Somali claimed by al-Shabaab.

"Yet the poor fellows think they are safe! They think that the war is over! Only the dead have seen the end of war."

The fact remains that, although there is still conflict in the world, the number of those who have been harmed by it has dropped greatly. Two main reasons for war are due to the control of both resources and geography. For that reason, we, as a species, still have a long ways to go. The current focus is on the ME. I thought South America would be a major place of confrontation, but that has mostly worked itself out. Resolving conflicts in Africa will take another century or more, given there isn't some new form of tech which will reduce the problems. The sheer size of Africa is a problem in itself. Mercator projection maps are deceiving in that regard since it makes Africa looking only slightly larger than the US.

Obtusely missing the point, THAT will get us out of this mess!
Speaking of missing the point. President Trump has many good reasons to not want a war with Iran and many for wanting people to think he does and to talk about the prospect. Talk of a possible war with Iran helps his re-election prospects, for one. Now some people can’t even see these things. While others have such deep derangement about Trump that they are gullible dupes, doing Trump a favor without realizing it! These poor schmucks have Trump living in their heads 24/7.

Anyways, it isn’t like when Obama sent troops and bombed Syria killing thousands in total opposition to the government of that country. But he was a Democrat. So, he got a pass.
