Dating boyz

I was thinking things over and I think a good start for feminizing myself is to date more men and less women. You see, when you date a woman instead of a man, quite often you end up treated more masculine than dating a man, because there often exists a belief in the woman's mind that the man is the protector and provider and it sometimes gets projected. Expressing this may make me sound ignorant, but it's how I have felt based on past dating experience.

So eventually we get to an important question - what do gay boys like in another boy? Do they like the more natural men, which I find boring, or those who spend the money on dyed hair, painted fingernails, and an earring for their ear?

The truth is, just like straight men, gay men don't have a single set of preferences. Some like more effeminate, some like more masculine, some have no preference. You might also find some straight and bi women who prefer very effeminate men. Heck the entire gay softcore/romance Manga industry is largely written by straight women for straight women. And that heavily features very effeminate men.

Imo the best way to do dating is to...not do dating. Instead find hobbies you enjoy, being yourself, and then naturally meet people who share similar interests and like you for who you are however you choose to express yourself.

Even so, I'm not certain it's all that bad to portray yourself in the outside world as a hot item who is available, so long as it's not overdone. It's fuzzy in my memory now but I recall a story where a woman had to stop wearing a ring she really liked because men would think she was taken.

I guess I'm different than most people. While many wouldn't want to be liked by more than their personality, well, taking the world by storm IS my personality, so maybe by getting a makeover, and people liking it, they are liking an aspect of my personality.

That was never my scene, personally. I preferred someone knowing my name and what I like before knowing whether or not I was available for dating.
Granted, I'm with the same guy I started dating as a teenager so my knowledge of the dating world is rather limited. And I'm also a giant nerd. Getting a makeover for me is dressing up in character for a convention.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

I would think the same as us hetrosexuals.

Good people, good company, good times.

That's me. Granted I would love a regular makeover, and my LARP weekend always begins with a neat and clean appearance and crisp makeup (it ends looking pretty much like you'd expect of a weekend running through the woods), but for the regular deal Im not really fooling anyone and Id basically need book Brienne of Tarth for it to have any appeal enhancement effect. But, really, Id rather be a dark elf running through the woods anyways. It also does help me keep feeling young when I win a melee or tourney flooded with those in their late teens through late 20s (aka, those who call me old).:D

I think when I get back to California (after I help my parents move here) Im gonna try dating a guy or two. Nothing serious or long term, but I want to have fun. And I may not (I could get abducted by a guy who doesnt know hes abducted someone who will call his bet and raise the crazy stakes), but I will at least attempt.
