whats your beef with brexit?

As Jeff says, when were our MPs and media going to tell us all about this wonderful new EU project? Are they worried that people in the UK might view it as a bit of a cheek as well as encouraging even more net immigration, so putting a block in front of their attempts to reverse Brexit? When were they going to tell the people of every country in the EU that their own governments were unable to enforce their own useless labour laws, so it all needs to be overseen by Brussels? I tried to find some UK news on this and, unsurprisingly, found just about diddly-squat. And that should worry people, especially Brexiteers. Vast EU authorities being formed with not a peep from the politicians and press.

IMO we should be feeling like

Control of our borders.
No more nonsense directives.
Self determination.
New trade deals.

I love Europe but never felt European, been to some amazing places there too, wine women but not so much song (ever seen the euro song contest lol) so I'm glad we're out and feeling positive, not every one is so here's your chance to say why.

I live on the opposite side of the Atlantic. I support the right of Brits to do as they wish...in or out. But why then are all plans to exit rejected???

Basically parliament's split on the issue but also the terms of leaving, unfortunately brexit has coincided with some of the worst politicians I've known this country to produce and some will do anything to prevent, drag out or force another referendum so will vote any motion down

The trouble is, the Leave campaign promised the world plus unicorns. They were never deliverable; and the Remain camp are holding them to their promises.
Leave, despite evidence to the contrary, are denying they promised anything and are pushing for a No Deal exit; which was never mentioned as a viable option during the Referendum.
Both sides are entrenched; I expect more twists and turns to come and if Boris gets No.10 (as it appears he will) then god help us.

As far as I know, Nigel has not robbed anyone’s pension pot and if he had, I reckon we would have found out by now

No. But he has been claiming expenses & a wage as an MEP despite rarely being there to represent his constituents. And when he is there he simply likes to rub it in everyone's that Brexit is a thing. Not exactly sure why Quitlers think they don't have any representation in Europe yet unironically vote for Farage or his company to give them MEPs.

so if he has done well for himself, good luck to him.

He has "done well for himself" through serving vested interests with a malicious agenda that will adversely affect the majority of us, by being completely and utterly dishonest and by gleefully playing to xenophobia & far-right populist English self-entitlement.

I do not envy him or his success.

Neither do I. If his life is any indication of how to achieve success then I'll pass or, better yet, find a more moral way.

If #Altfish wants to wear the cap, he is welcome to it.

I had this mental image of you saying that while fighting off Altfish's annoyed hands as you attempt to jam the 'communism cap' forcibly onto his head.

You will be telling us next that we should have joined the Euro.

No I won't. The Euro is a bad idea. Fortunately you do not need to join it to be an EU member.

By the way can you either a) address what I said or; b) admit you're incapable of doing so? Certainly would make a nice change of pace from you changing the subject whenever you come up against some sort of point or points you have no counter to.

If the UK becomes a vassal state, who knows what we will be forced to do.

I have never said that Nigel is a saint but he would be much higher up on the pope’s list than the likes of the Kinnocks.

The Kinnocks are above criticism because they are fellow Lefties.
