Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Ohh, a deity grudge match!
I’d pay good money to watch that!

Yes, Canada is Actually Arresting Christian Pastors and Banning Them From Preaching in Public

It is no longer legal to preach the word of Christ on the Canadian streets if others are offended.

A Christian pastor named David Lynn was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace with “derogatory comments” on Tuesday for preaching the word of God on a street corner at Church-Wellesley Village in Toronto, ON.

After the disciple of Christ was harassed by a group of unruly protesters, he was hauled off in handcuffs by law enforcement because preaching the Gospel was considered to be a criminal violation.

The LGBT mob cheered on as the man was dragged away in handcuffs, a sign of things to come if their perverse agenda continues unabated.

The article continues at the link and includes a cop-cam video of the incident.

I use to live in Toronto . It can only get worse at this point. God be with Canadian Christians.
Where he went (I do live in Toronto) is the very heart of the LGBTetc. community in Toronto...it's very centre. And he went there with a specific purpose, to preach what can only be hurtful to that very community.

The fact is, there are many places in Toronto where he could have gone, and ranted all day and all night to his heart's content, right out in public, and nobody would have said anything...but that, of course, is because he would have been doing it were nobody gave a dingo's kidney what he was on about.

You are being disingenuous...you know what he was trying to do, he was trying to proselytize where it was not wanted, he was trying to tell people, where they congregate, that they are awful and need to repent, and WHY CAN'T HE JUST MIND HIS OWN DAMNED BUSINESS? What's the big urgency in making everybody else into you? Is your faith not strong enough that you can live it without trying to make everybody else live it too, just so you can feel like you might be more "correct?"

Acts 5:27-29 explains that when the apostles were arrested for their preaching, they were told to stop doing what Christ commanded them to do.....

"So they brought them and stood them before the Sanʹhe·drin. Then the high priest questioned them 28 and said: “We strictly ordered you not to keep teaching on the basis of this name, and yet look! you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you are determined to bring the blood of this man upon us.” 29 In answer Peter and the other apostles said: We must obey God as ruler rather than men."

We follow that same rule...no government can tell us to stop doing what God commands. We will obey every other law.
Will you indeed ?

So, if God commands you to go to the "unbelievers" and preach to them, will you go and do that where it is most obviously needed...into the mosque, the synagogue, the temple, the shrine, and do it there? I hope those who are subjected to your invasion are kinder to you than you are to them...

The law that prohibits street preachers exercising their religious rights and free speech is due to a Hate Speech bill that passed into law.
The End of Religious LIberty in Canada

England has the same kind of restrictions disguised as prohibitions against "hate speech".
What a perfect load of rubbish!

I encourage you not to be homosexual, if you think it's wrong. I encourage you to scourge yourself nightly, if you think it'll do any good. But I FORBID you to tell others what is right and wrong for them,. because no matter how firm you are in your faith, a whole freaking load of other decent, honest, and (unlike some here now) intelligent people don't share those beliefs.

And you have PRECISELY ZERO LICENSE to try to force it on them. And that has NOTHING to do with religious liberty, unless you would also allow a Muslim into your church to harangue you about the necessity of obeying Islam.

Nihilists are really sad and surprised when they awaken to the very real fact that people are always told what to do with their lives. From the time they are born, if their family are not Nihilistic , they're instructed on the proper way to behave. And that when they do not there are penalties that await.

I'd wonder how many Nihilists are currently on death row in prisons across America where there is a death penalty in any given state. And how many are in prison in all 50. Likely more than we can imagine. Not that that's bad thing.

Christians have a good teacher in Jesus Christ, who told his disciples to "preach the good news of the Kingdom in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations" before "the end" of the present world system was to come. (Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:19-20) He preached in synagogues because he was a Jew. He did not preach to gentiles because that was not who he was sent to.

Preaching to people in their homes is where the first Christians found the most response. (Acts 5:42; Acts 20:20)

Jesus told us to expect a hostile reception from some...just as he did. But he also said that some would respond...but only a relative "few" (Matthew 7:13-14).......just think for a moment what it means to reject a messenger sent by God....especially one who looks like some kind of nutter spouting off about stuff you don't want to hear....

The account of Noah's day in Genesis 6 contains a powerful message...and that is because the majority of humans alive at that time perished because they failed to listen to someone who was sent to warn them about what was coming if they refused to change their ways. As free willed beings, we have a choice in just about everything but the inborn imperfection that is in us. No matter what challenges we face in this world, we can choose our own outcome just by our decisions and actions. No one is foreordained to live or die by God's hand....we choose that outcome for ourselves.

For some, living in a world where they have to toe the line is very unappealing...but for others rules make them feel secure. Its when people break the rules that things get ugly. Some feel that God's rules are too hard to follow and others find them easy. There is so much that goes into making us who we become....genetics, environment, deprivation of natural affection, over-protective parents, apathy, conflicts and prejudices in our family life. We can't choose any of those things nor can we avoid them...what we can do is learn to live in spite of them. I believe that Jesus Christ teaches us to do just that. His was a "live and let live" attitude.....those who appreciated what he taught were drawn to him and became his disciples...those who didn't, were not drawn to him at all. Nothing has changed.

He never forced himself on anyone....we shouldn't either.

Canada has Hate Speech laws. Shouting derogatory statements in a public place qualifies as hate speech.
It's subjective isn't it. One person's hate speech is another person's gospel. The only problem is the gospel isn't hate literature. It is love literature.

Yet Canadians still have guns but not the gun violence. We are clearly not in a position to criticize.
You must not live in Canada.
These are just two proofs Canada suffers gun violence. The argument, "not as much as in the U.S.." is a misnomer. Gun and gang violence in Canada is an issue regardless of the comparative numbers to anywhere else at all.

Excuse me, but nothing I said was nihilistic in the slightest.

And I find even the round-about suggestion that people like me should be on death row to be just a little offensive. The fact that I do not share your beliefs most assuredly does not make me a bad person. And my beliefs are quite good enough to permit me to live well in society, so perhaps it's the other way round...that you don't share my beliefs might be a problem.

Good grief. Noah's flood is a myth.

There is no comparable LA nor Chicago in Canada. The closest large city comparison is NYC to Regina. Small cities and towns have issues when gun violence but the comparison become a problem due to drastic population differences. Thompson Manitoba with a population of 13k ish the the worst place in Canada for violent crime. North Battleford, 14k ish, for firearm crimes.
