Have the Liberals Gone Too Far?

Have you notice that in whatever media echo chamber we subscribe to the talking heads direct these sort of questions towards the audience? Have you ever asked yourself how they expect you to answers these sort of questions? Could the media's use of these sort of questions be a form of indoctrination and/or brainwashing? Shouldn't we be careful as to what the media is doing in when they try to influence us by using this sort of device? Is your head hurting right now? Have you tried Tylenol? Have you notice that these type of questions are prevalent of the Fox News network? What message is Fox news trying to convey to its target audience by doing this? Do you get the message?

I did a google search and Fox News didn't even show up on the first page. Seems like it's a question that many media sources are asking. So either FOX is really successful at setting the narrative or it's a legitimate question that many media outlets are asking.

ABC news headline - Sen. Amy Klobuchar 'a liberal who hasn't gone too far left - implying that the rest have?

Maybe the answer is "No" it hasn't.

I don't know but I think people should be aware that the prime time shows on FOX are not NEWS, they are editorials. Folks who express their personal opinion and try to set an narrative which drives the opinion of their audience. I suppose it is a problem for people who can't tell the difference.

Apparently so, FOX slaughters the others in ratings.

Is it because intelligent people read books and articles while that illiterate beering swilling bubba in Alabama watches TV? Is it because conservatives love to live in an echo chamber? Is it because conservatives need daily conditioning?

So, liberal media is not working hard enough on setting the narrative?
What should the liberal narrative be?
Why are we being asked these questions? What are they trying to tell us? Is this a system of control? Are we to pretend these questions were asked in good faith? How are we to react to these questions if they were asked in bad faith?

Why are we being asked these questions?

To create a narrative.

What are they trying to tell us?

What your opinion should be if you are a Republican

Is this a system of control?

It is a system of influence. A system of opinion leaders.

Are we to pretend these questions were asked in good faith?

I suspect some buy the narrative. So their honest opinion. Some maybe trying to create the narrative. Someone like Hannity admits his bias nightly. If someone openly admits to their bias, is that in good faith? People watch Hannity for his bias, not really necessary to pretend anything.

How are we to react to these questions if they were asked in bad faith?

With critical thinking.

Well we already know that the media pretty much speaks with one voice from One Source.

There's hardly any variance with the narrative which makes it ultimately that much more creepy and unsettling.

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

What's even more unsettling is that it includes , yet is not limited, to Fox news alone.

You get to a point were you pretty much have to admit that something is going on that nobody is talking about.

Maybe paranoia is what they want? Do you think they prefer us united or divided? How do we get the narrative back without falling back into our own partisan echo chambers? Are people largely aware that this is actually happening? Do you think they care? What do the people care about? Who is really controlling the narrative?

I agree, to a certain large extent.

I reduced my news consumption by about 95%. Can't say I've ever regretted it.

Anything important you find out by osmosis. Also you get exposed to far less misinformation, and all journalism, even 'proper' journalism from the most reputable outlets is full of (often unintentional) misinformation. Even if you assume the highest possible journalistic ethics, the way the news works makes it a certainty that you will consume masses of false information.

If you don't watch the news, many problems are solved.

If you watch the news, many problems are created.

It's an easy choice.
Do you believe our mental environment is being polluted by disinformation? Do you believe it is intentional? Who is behind it? What is their intention?
