Islamism may be a difficult choice, but choice it is none the less.

Like christianity? Gotya. The fact that most religions are indicated into young children to scar them for life has little baring on your insistence?

Preferably a definition that doesn't lump all reasons for disliking a religion or a political force together as irrational? Perhaps because not all reasons for disliking Islam & Islamism are irrational?

None he less, the definition is specific and accurate

Are they not?, can you list one or two "rational" reasons for predudice against islam?

Hint, i can and have argued them with muslims, i have not gone around seething with hatred because of them

Tell that to children being indoctrinated by their parents. Indoctrination of youth, in my view, one of the only reason religious belief is held by the majority of humanity.

I can only agree with you and am so glad that you included all religious belief and not just islam

Dangerous as it is to do so, many are leaving Islamism. Therefore, it is a choice.

You linked it thus accept the definition.

Nope as prejudice is not aimed at an idea (Islam) but at people. Which would make it Muslimphobia

Which is problematic as this become vague or a catch-all. Some uses of Islam in politics are major issues. However there are people that interpret Islam differently to the point of not wanting the religion to be part of the nation-state's government.

I do accept it .you are the one griping about it

Incorrect, the majority of predudice is targeted against islam, .i have seen non muslims attacked because they looked muslim.

Correct, however many muslims consider muslim states to be the islamic ideal.

Have you seen the definition? I posed it yesterday, here it is again

Islamophobia : dislike of or prejudice against Islam or Muslims, especially as a political force.

Yes, the dictionary definition is PC. But it's still a dishonest term, meant to imply that disliking Islam is irrational.

Yes as the definition is nonsense.

Incorrect, the majority of predudice is targeted against islam,

Prejudice applies to people not ideas.

.i have seen non muslims attacked because they looked muslim.

Dress, beard or assumption based on skin colour? How does one look Muslim exactly?

Correct, however many muslims consider muslim states to be the islamic ideal.

Sure.

So it seems we're largely agreed - given that, shouldn't we work to break the cycle of religious indoctrination?

Why is it dishonest when it describes a situation that exists?

It in no way implies irrationality.

No it is not nonsense, as mentioned above, it describes a situation that exists.

Does it? So you are not prejudice against the opposing political party to the one you support?

Exactly. How? Only islamophobes can answer that one. They are the ones dishing out hatred.

I am sure glad you agree

And?

The definition is specific

What more do you want?

The leader of the Muslim council considers what Boris Johnson (yes I know he's a dick) said that "Muslim women that wear the full headress look like letterboxes" as islamophobia, how exactly does that fit the bill,is it a phobia or descrimination?.

Arachnophobia is much clearer, extreme or irrational fear of spiders.
