I live in Arizona, about 90 miles from the border, it has been a while since I was right on the border, though I know BP agents, follow the issue of illegals very closely in Arizona publications, see them on a daily basis, know deputy sheriffs in my county, have met with the sheriff, as well having exchanged letters and e-mails with my congressional representative. I know infinitely more about the border situation than the average democrat senator or representative, as probably does most Arizona rural citizens.

Well, they can't vote until they become citizens.

I was surprised to learn that the US chamber of commerce is not on board stopping illegals.

Seems to me that guest worker visas should take care of the problem if you need people to pick beans and do yardwork.

Yes, a monitored guest worker program is the correct solution, barring them from social services.

I would go so far as not taking income taxes from them because they are barred from SS, welfare, food stamps, etc.

They would be here to work, not take.
