Alien reptile cult murder

Anyone for steak tartare?

It looked like a simple domestic murder. Then police learned about the alien reptile cult.

Rogers and Mineo were reportedly both followers of Sherry Shriner, who on her website calls herself a “Servant, Prophet, Ambassador, Daughter, and Messenger of the Most High God.” According to NJ.com, Shriner believes a “New World Order” is threatening humanity, an evil conspiracy hatched by aliens and other evil beings.
...
Mineo reportedly began following Shriner through her online writings and videos in the early 2000s. But his relationship with Rogers eventually put him at odds with the teachings. Shriner told NJ.com she believed Rogers was a “Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier."

The split seems to have started when Rogers wrote Facebook posts talking about her cravings for red meat and preference for steak tartare. Shriner believed red meat was a sign that a person was actually reptilian.

“There’s only certain types of people who crave the raw meat, because they crave the blood. Those with the vampire demon in them,” Shriner said in a YouTube video, according to NJ.com. Shriner told the newspaper she then warned Mineo his girlfriend was possessed.

“When the demon manifested in her, if it was the demon or a lizard, if she had both, a human’s no match for that kind of supernatural strength,” Shriner told NJ.com. “The one thing I did know: she was no good."

Nutjobs abound. The Democrats make a big deal about gun control but what our country really needs, and what all of the spectacular mass murders have in common, are better mental health care.

I'll never look at my Iguana with innocent eyes again. But if the hamburg in the fridge starts disappearing, I'm giving him to a friend and getting a goldfish. :D

While it's true we need better mental health care, the mentally ill are not great perpetrators of violence. Better mental health care wont solve or address problems with violence and guns.

Since insanity and normalacy is spectral, with no line other than "you are functional, you are not" i would say a bit more work is needed!!!!

Tell me the cause of violence. Tell me what Jared Loughner, Adam Lanza, James Holmes and Nikolas Cruz all had in common besides being mass murderers. Sure, you can say guns, but the unhappy truth is that they were all known to have mental health issues and nobody GAS. Our laws can't handle it and our health care system can't handle it. In fact, unlike catching the Flu or Ebola, having a mental health illness is considered a weakness much like cowardice. Is that what you think since you, too, seem to care more about banning guns than caring for those mentally ill? Did you know that over 44,000 Americans commit suicide every year? About half of them with a firearm....the only ones the LW anti-gun people seem to care about.

Not sure what you mean by "normalacy is spectral" but I'll be the first to admit that human beings are flawed. The good news is that for every two steps forward we take as a species, we only take one step back.....that's a net step forward for the math impaired. :D

What in the serious **** are you going on about? Facts are, the vast majority of those with a mental illness are not violent, and are far more likely to be victims of violence. Banning guns? Youll find nowhere that I have advocated such a thing (or bans in general). And in fact, not too long ago I myself brought up the fact that most gun deaths and violence are suicides and "heat of the moment."

Agreed most mentally ill are not violent just like most Muslims are not violent. Why do you think guns are the problem and not mental illness? Why do you think 44,000 Americans committing suicide every year isn't a major mental health issue?

It is, and an area were culturally we must admit and accept that owning a gun does inherently increase your risk of being used against you pr someone you wouldnt have in a clear state of mind. And the issue of poor mental health care runs so much deeper than guns, and the guns issue, much like mass shootings, its already nearing late when temptation arises, and too late once it the issue does happen. We have to work so far upstream that guns (as solution) are rarely seen as a temptation.

No one suspects the alien reptile cult! Just like no one suspects the Spanish. Inquisition. Sorry, I was watching Monty Python.

Like owning a car increases your chance of dying in a car accident? Please be smart enough to consider the evidence presented in context.

Do you really thing a suicidal person, usually suffering from depression, can't find a way to kill themselves if they didn't have a gun? What do all of these people have in common and why don't the anti-gunners GAS about how they died?:

Guns tend to be more successful than other means. They are also easier to be impulsive with. Someone determined will find a way, bit realistically in that situation a gun is a short cut.

Screw it. I think everyone needs to come to terms that we are in fact, The real Planet of the Apes*! "O]

"44,000 Americans committing suicide every year" is only .01%(44,000÷327,200,000=.01%).
Its sad but it happens. Can we consider .01% to be a major health issue?

All of these celebrities easily found a very effective way to hang themselves. It doesn't have to be as dramatic as jumping off a chair. Forming a noose with a tie or long belt and putting it around one's neck and binding the other end in a door jam high enough that simply sitting down creates enough pressure to cut off circulation is sufficient. It's pretty painless. The person passes out and when they do, the full weight of their own body asphyxiates them. A tie can be bought at Goodwill for $2 but I'm sure the celebrities below can afford something more expensive.

That's about 25% more than those killed in "gun deaths" of which 2/3s are suicides. I'd say no, but the gun banners seem to think it's more important than global warming. Go figure.
