The Games of Golf

BSM1

What? Me worry?
Depending upon the stage of the game, they could be anything from nuded to full Victorian regalia.

Actually, I'm glad you cleared this up. Now when I'm asked, "do you shave your weasel?", I no longer slink away embarrassed.

Many years ago, when i kept track of my handicap, i got to a 7.. but since, I've been in the 10-15 range. But lately, I've been breaking 80 regularly, with a couple of mid 70s.. very bizarre. I've lost a lot of distance on drives, and had trouble with 'yips' on chips and pitches, but sometimes, when the stars are aligned, i play better than ever.

I have continually tried to simplify and hone my basic swing, and for the last few months, it has been more consistent than 10 yrs ago.

I would not have expected to play better, while getting older. Most other physical activities I've abandoned.. off road motorcycles, racquetball, etc. Golf can be played and enjoyed as you age, but improvement is not really expected. I determined long ago that i would enjoy playing badly, since that would happen. But i did not expect to have some of my best rounds in my mid 60s.

..maybe its just a good golf dream, and I'll wake up with reality & 90s scores.. ;)

Today, its out to the grueling fairways and punishing greens. It will be interesting to see how it goes..
