I speculated a while back that it is possible that the EU and its appeasers could be blackmailing Mrs May or is it just the fact that the establishment elitists do not want to miss out on the lucrative gravy train that is the EU.

No, but is chicken any different to Chlorine washed salad?
Yes, that should have been banned too. Why is salad bagged???
You obviously have not seen the programme because chlorination was only one issue with US chicken.
Workers rights, accident records and H&S; hygiene in the factories - the regulations are way below UK standards

I heard that they are higher and that any products would be marked accordingly.

Well you heard wrong. EU/UK H&S regulations and workers' rights are far higher than the US.

I'll believe they will be marked when I see packaging telling me which method was used to the kill animals

Once we leave the EU, our Parliamentarians will have no excuse for not marking food products properly.

"....let’s take Salmonella as an example. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimatesSalmonella causes about 1.2 million illnesses, 23,000 hospitalizations, and 450 deaths in the United States every year. Food is the source for about 1 million of these illnesses”. And for the EU?

In 2016, the number of hospitalisations was 1,766, and there were 10 deaths. None of those deaths was in the UK. The population of the USA is 327 million; that of the EU (including the UK) is more than 512 million."

Do the math, as they say.
