Beginning in 2020, there will no longer be any need to get a prescription for marijuana.

Legalized recreational marijuana is expected to generate approximately $500 million of desperately needed revenue to the state's coffers in Illinois.

Other changes in state law and subsequent taxation: expanded casino gambling, sports betting, and a doubling of the state's fuel tax are expected to rake in an additional $3 billion of annual tax revenue for our state of Illinois.

Beginning in 2020, there will no longer be any need for me to get a prescription for marijuana, which I now need to do in order to legally consume marijuana for "medical purposes". I will soon be able to legally smoke marijuana for recreational purposes. I enjoy smoking weed, which helps me relax and control my temper Legalized recreational marijuana is expected to generate approximately $500 million of desperately needed revenue to the state's coffers in Illinois.

I expect this thread to be zapped since however owns this site has a Nixon-esque stance on discussing drugs that the stupid feds made illegal, because they don't want to scare off advertisers or whatever. So you can't even say you take it for a legit medical problem.

Anyway, I think all drugs should be legal. If it's a problem, it's a health issue and not a criminal one. Legalizing it or at least decriminalizing it will clear up most of the criminal issues and a lot of the health issues involved, anyway.

The Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act will expunge convictions for up to 30 grams of marijuana, which will clear some people's criminal record and help them get better jobs, which I wholeheartedly support.

What? Me worry?
ah, you thought of that while indulging? wonder why
they call it "dope'. :D

I haven't "indulged" in any mind altering substance since 1974. However, I do recognized a business opportunity here. Do you mind people drinking?

People can do as they like, so long as it does
not impingify on me. I occasionally have a little
sip for social reasons, but drinking does not
appeal to me.

I never tried it so I dont get the appeal of smoking
marijuana.

People smoke, eat, vape, etc. weed because it makes you feel good or because they have health problems and weed helps. That's why people use drugs in general. It's not so difficult to understand.

We're white punks on dope
Mom & dad moved to Hollywood
Hang myself when I get enough rope
Can't clean up, though I know I should
