Who in your religious view is 'the reconciler of all things' ?

Colossians says you were 'alienated' but through Jesus all things are reconciled, whether on earth or heaven, making peace through the blood of the cross.

Where does 'peace' come from and reconciliation in your view?

And how do you deal with alienation? Can you remain 'alienated' from God forever?

Sadly, I needed fixin’ . And I am eternally thankful to the Lord for doin’ the fixin’.

Also, sadly, when one is alienated, one has no idea one needs to be fixed. One thinks one knows everything, one thinks one is ok.
Been there, done that, don’t wanna go back.

Must be difficult to be alienated, and viewing yourself as needing fixing. Depressing, even.

According to the biblical scriptures a person's relationship with the Creator God needs to be reconciled.

For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Romans 5:10
You know, the Bible isn't central to literally every religion in the world, right?

Jesus is my peace...

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... Romans 5:1

There is no general condition of alienation between man and God (Brahman). Christian cultures have a tendency to teach people such ideas and make them seem real by positive reinforcement (in churches for example). Some people may individually feel alienated from God or the world. Prayer, meditation or other spiritual practices can help overcome such internal barriers.

Yes, I am aware of that, just sharing the perspective of the Bible on the subject.
Fair enough, but the OP asked people in a comparative religion post. Meaning people of any religious persuasion. So the whole premise itself doesn't make sense to those outside of an Abrahamic faith from the start. Which is why some have expressed confusion. Thus adding in their perspective on the matter in the same way.

Interesting that you posted this in the Interfaith forum....

I can only answer from the Christian perspective. Unless you understand why reconciliation is necessary, you won't even know that you are cut off from God by the sin you inherited from Adam. This pathetic excuse for a life, filled with all manner of trials and tragedy will be your "normal" and you will not expect anything better. It has never been my "normal" and I honestly feel like an alien here in this world. I was destined for much better things and life makes no sense to me if there is not something better to come. Many of my aspirations have been unfulfilled and the Bible gives me hope of a better life according to God's promise. I don't take his promises lightly, after all he is the only one with the power to fulfill them. Everything he has foretold so far has come true, so I have no reason to doubt him.

That makes reconciliation with God one of the most important things in a Christian's life. Jesus provided the means to facilitate that reconciliation and to bring us full circle back to what God had planned for us in the beginning. We haven't even started "living" yet.
