This is what a fetus looks like at just 6 weeks after conception.....

It has all that is necessary to identify it as human....a head, arms and legs with finger and toe buds developing. It has ears and eyes forming, a developing brain and a heartbeat. This would be the stage where most abortiosn would be contemplated.

That doesn't qualify it being a person though. A 6 week fetus develops human characteristics but it does not mean it is a person. I can build a robot with appendages like that of a human doesn't make it human. See: personhood

If a child is conceived, then it has a right to live.

So if I had a 12 year-old daughter who was raped and ends up pregnant she should go through the secondary traumatic experience of giving birth to a child out of non-consensual sex because that child has a right to live?

Women usually find out they they are pregnant after missing a period.

Not always

It's inhumane and cruel to torture and slaughter any living being whose life is valued by society, whether or not this were a person.

I'll concede a 6 week old fetus can't feel pain, but a 24 week old fetus evidently can feel pain. Hence, late term abortions should be banned.

If that is true why take antibiotics to rid ourselves of bacteria? Why wash our bodies with anti-microbial substances when both bacteria and microbes have their place in existence? These are both living organisms that have their value in enhancing our immune systems.

I doubt microbes sense pain; however, a 24 week old human fetus arguably might be able to sense pain. I don't believe aborted fetuses younger than 24 weeks of age sense pain, so I'd have no qualms about first trimester or early second trimester abortions

Abortion is not murder. Why? We are all Spiritual beings in our true natures. We are not actually installed in our physical body until after birth when long term memories start to become possible.

On the other hand, I'm not really for abortion. It's a responsibility thing. Abortion makes it easy not to make good choices and act responsibly.

Murder relates to our physical body only. Abortion violates Natural Law.

There's zero evidence human consciousness extends beyond the our mind's cerebral life dependent upon its bodily functions.

"Consciousness requires a sophisticated network of highly interconnected components, nerve cells. Its physical substrate, the thalamo-cortical complex that provides consciousness with its highly elaborate content, begins to be in place between the 24th and 28th week of gestation."

When Does Consciousness Arise in Human Babies?

Do you know anyone who 'skipped ' this initial stage of development of the future born human?

If it is murder, we have an obligation to stop it. (It's against the law)

If it's not then we have an obligation to affirm it. (It's a constitutional right)

So, I will ask again, is it murder? And why or why not?
No. There is no human person who is dying when a fetus is being aborted at under 23 weeks. So no question of murder.

Do you want to carry and gestate those millions? By all means.

Not a terribly well reasoned response there.....

Have you ever carried a child? How would you know? Its the most miraculous thing I have ever done.

To abort a human baby for totally selfish reasons, I believe is unconscionable. But no one has to answer to me.
I do believe that they will ultimately answer to the Creator of life, however.

I can think of medical reasons to terminate a pregnancy, but viewing it as an unwanted side effect of one's sex life that can easily be disposed of as if it isn't a living human is mere justification IMV. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy.

I have an opinion.....I don't believe that sex is a right. It is a privilege confined to scriptural marriage. Call me old fashioned....

It does not, but it placed in physical body for a purpose.
