I just contacted Boys to men Mentoring and told them this:

The Plight of the Male Sex in America

It seems as if mere common masculine terms like BOY and MAN these days themselves are considered TOXIC CUSS WORDS among the Left Politically-Correct Elitists and Militant Feminists. The worst thing to ever happen to boyhood in America was the inclusion of females into the Boy Scouts of America, the last true bastion of long-standing youth male bonding across the fruited plain. Our sex no longer has an individual identity it seems. The femi-libs would steal our manhood parts, Y chromosomes and deep voices if they could. There is nothing exclusively for the fellows anymore it seems. I'm frankly quite surprised we even have our own restrooms with urinals these days. Yes, there are handful of male-only youth alternatives to the traditional male-only Boy Scouts, but they purposely leave the term BOY out of their titles like cowards. It's "KOSHER and DANDY" these days to have female-only things with GIRL or WOMAN written all over them. What hypocrisy! Why has male-kind been so villainized and femaleness so victimized? What can your cause do to help boyhood in America get through all the chaos and gender confusion these days? There was a time when boys became men and were expected to be the sole economic providers for their families. Male young people in America pursued college educations , military service, public service, professions, businesses or skilled trades to be good providers. This gender upside-down thing has totally eradicated family values. Why is the education system doing everything for girls these days but kicking boys under the bus? I think the biggest problem is the decay of the American family. Single moms. No male role models for male children in the household. God made fathers for a reason.

Mods: Please correct the spelling in the title line: Men should be capitalized. There is no Go Advanced feature here for me to correct that myself. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind if I were to lose the urinals by the way. I mean... it is not like I want to look at someone else's stuff nor do I feel like I want some dude looking at mine. So, no big loss for me.

That is exactly part of the problem. Why should we expect men to become the sole economic providers?
Because motherhood and homemaking are two full-time jobs by themselves.

As much as children need an adult male figure to act manly in their presence they also need an adult female figure in the household to actually be a female parent.

I was raised in a home where dad went to work and mom tended the home and made my lunch for school. This is what I know. This is what I normalize as an American family.

Boy Scouts was not supposed to be ever based on one specific faith but perhaps an ecumenical God or Supreme Being. After all, American currency states "In God We Trust". It had an ethic of respecting God and country.

It was supposed to be for American male youth to build moral character, self-reliance, leading good boys to grow to be good men, promote good citizenship and for male fellowship.

It should equally welcome Jews, pagans, wiccans, Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems (which I personally hate) and non-denominational Christians.

So, the Boy Scouts are in decline?

Considering or pursuing bankruptcy I hear. Lawsuits over sexual abuse cases and declining membership is hurting them. I'm not sure, but the declining membership may be due, in large part, to the abuse scandal.

"Young Pioneers"? If that's a joke, sorry, I missed it. I know/remember nothing about 'em.

Perhaps they can be reorganized as the Young Pioneers.

I would still like a male-only youth organization with the term "BOY" in its namesake.

The Boy Scouts were formed in England in 1910 and was a male-only youth organization
for damn near 100 years as it still should be even now and forever more.

Removing a masculine term from the title of a male-only organization, product or service
only fortifies the false notion that the male sex himself or any term noting him is TOXIC.

I would like something called Golden Boys of the American Republic. G-BOAR.

This would be expressly male-only and also fortify the notion that America is indeed a republic.

It would be non-faith-based and embrace the Constitutional principles of Our Founding Fathers.
It would include respecting separation of church and state and respecting individual religious freedoms.
It would be non-homophobic as matter of social principles and morals as well.

Adult leaders would be rigorously screened for any criminal, mental illness, substance or sex abuse history. They would be non-smokers and non-drinkers: clean and wholesome.

I don't want the word MALE or any masculine term deemed pejorative or a swear word.

Being born with a penis, testicles, and a scrotum is not a failing or a curse but a GOOD creation of nature (or God if you believe in God) on equal footing with the female sex but of distinctive identity, societal role, familial role and natural function. Society has failed boys and men miserably.

Maybe just Boys of the American Republic: BOAR.

A male hog with big tusks might be its mascot.

I was just doing a little checking around, and I was surprised to learn that scouting is truly a world-wide phenomenon. List of World Organization of the Scout Movement members - Wikipedia

There's even Scouting in the Antarctic.

I don't think men are in any real danger of going extinct. I think the bigger worry might be that a lot of youth (both boys and girls) might be getting poor guidance from poor role models. Back when I was a kid, the ideal of manhood was symbolized by Ward Cleaver. Or maybe Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter from a great metropolitan newspaper. Here's a guy who's tough as nails, faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a tall building - that sort of thing. Yet, he was mild-mannered, a decent, gentle guy with perfect manners.

I don't think feminists have emasculated men. If they've tried to do so, they've failed, and they will continue to fail (if that is their goal, but I don't believe it is). If anything, the past recent decades have seen men become even more "macho" and somewhat roguish in their overall approach and mannerisms. A lot of men out there seem kind of angry. This is also true of younger men and boys, who also have a natural tendency towards angst, anger, and a general sense of rebelliousness. Without any strong adult guidance to maintain positive control, it could become more chaotic.

What I'd really like to see is male and female have their own unique identities as was for most of history. There just seems to be many less things these days expressly designated for male only than there are things female only. The gender equality thing is therefore lopsided.

There seems to be many more things labeled GIRL or WOMAN these days than MAN or BOY as in products, services, brand names, groups and establishments. It's as if masculine words are forbidden: taboo. I blame a lot of misandry on the commercial markets, the media, the school system and the press. Bad signals. The penis is "evil". I was taught in high school and college that my sex is "biologically inferior" to females. The male seahorse, lacking a penis, has the babies after all.

Just to be fair to both sexes, there should be as many male-only things as there are female-only things. Masculine terms as MAN and BOY should be used as often as feminine words as WOMAN and GIRL in speech and literature just to be fair to everybody. No one sex should be presumed or implied.

Yes, I am a "binaryist": I only recognize two biological sexes, male and female, in the human species.

Men can easily do such things. Or better yet, share such work with his partner. A shocking thought, I know.

As much as children need an adult male figure to act manly in their presence they also need an adult female figure in the household to actually be a female parent.
This assertion is based on what?

What is "acting manly?"

I was raised in a home where dad went to work and mom tended the home and made my lunch for school. This is what I know. This is what I normalize as an American family.
How about people who grew up in different types of homes who feel that was a "normal American family?"

Now they can teach young female youth to do the same.
