Sedona, here.. for 30+ years. Midwestern transplant who took root and stayed. :)

I avoid the urban blight of the big cities when possible, but even Flag and Prescott seem headed that way. ..and the tourist traffic in Sedona beats big city rush hour all the time...

Welcome to RF. Living in Sedona as a fundamentalist Red White and Blue True Christian patriot? Don't all the New Age dope smoking hippy liberals who converge there put a damage on all that calm? :)

Welcome:)

I see you like to debate, and that's fine. I'd like you to stay, so be careful to familiarize yourself with the debate rules here before you get started. Currently the users of this forum tends toward the liberal or left side, not towards the evangelical/conservative catholic etc side. Our goal is to maintain multiple religions here, so most areas don't allow correcting others opinions with the exception of areas marked 'Debate'. There's a way to keep everything friendly and still say your piece, but the rules are a little different from most forums. When you are new it can feel a little puzzling. We require absolute politeness in debates and infinite patience, as if you were having dinner with King George. If you have a question about which fork is for the salad just ask. Stick around and stick up for your side.

Make friends though. Its less of a debate forum and more of a diplomatic forum, hence the restrictions on debate.

Greetings!
You're really in luck today.
Instead of the usual haggis for dessert after breakfast,
we have a lemon birthday cake you might really like....

Sedona is definitely the New Age Mecca. But everyone has to do 2 things:
1. Their own believing.
2. Their own dying.

Plus, i defined myself to make it easier for those who like to stereotype people.. my actual views, arguments, and insights may actually surprise people.. ;)

Thanks for the welcome. I don't think you'll have any trouble with me. I have strong convictions, but am introspective and circumspective to hold them with doubt, and am a strong believer in freedom of conscience.

And, i am quite used to 'debates' with progressive indoctrinees, and understand the double standard used to support the pop religion of the day. But, like Quixote, i tilt at windmills with fearless passion, knowing the platform for Truth is fleeting.

Everyone stereotypes people. Why choose brandings then if they don't reflect ourselves? So you're saying as a Christian patriot, you recognize that Jesus and Nationalism are incongruous?

Yes. You seem representative of Arizona to me! I grew up in the Norfolk Va area, and its a very mixed area though mostly suburban with a large military base, and the majority of people are from all over the US. I notice that people from different states really do have a sort of commonality, like a wavelength or strong gene. Whether they are Republican or Democrat a person from Arizona has this sort of commonality with others from that state. Its novel to me being from a military area. Maybe its not so strong as I imagine.

..might be short lived. I'm not really interested in one way xtian bashes, and propaganda streams of anti-christian bigotry.

Is that really the purpose of the forum? A forum labeled 'Religious Forums' but avoids logic, philosophical debate, and promotes caricatures and phony narratives?

My dainty disposition might not handle the overt hostility and anti-God rage, that is redirected toward xtians. :)

I'll probably stick around for a while.. just a note, in case i don't. We always wonder why people go, in forums. We come in with fanfare and welcomes, but slink away quietly.

Starting with an attitude like this, you'll see exactly what you expect, even if it isn't reality.
