Why are neckties so dangerous?

I don't care much about what clothes people wear. I'm not against clothes, don't get me wrong. I even prefer people who wear clothes. I think most people look better with clothes on than without them.

I don’t have much personal experience with neckties because I don’t have many friends who wear them. That isn’t because of any prejudice I ever had against them before the stories I’ve been reading turned me against them. It’s just that I never lived in those circles where people wear them.

Ever since I learned about Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I’ve spent many hours doing research on neckties, and I’ve learned that wearing them is a very dangerous practice, for the people wearing them, for everyone around them, and for all of society.

The closer neckties get to you the more dangerous it gets. If you think about it, that’s obvious from the name “necktie” itself. Something to tie around a person’s neck. Think about it. Doesn’t that give you goosebumps?

I know that people who wear neckties are going to want me to prove it without using any misrepresentations, falsifications or logical fallacies, but that’s ridiculous. In an Internet forum? Seriously? I won’t even bother because everyone knows that anyone can find links to some Web pages that they can falsely claim substantiate what they’re saying, and nobody cares anyway about how real anything is that they’re debating about, outside of forum debate fantasy worlds. The only thing that matters is to keep the debating going.

I will only say this, without wasting my time on those rituals: The countries with the most neckties are the ones with the Bomb, and with leaders crazy enough to use it. That’s so obvious that no one should need any fake proofs anyway.

The question is why?

Is there any hope that that the patterns on neckties will ever change? Is any reform possible in the production of neckties, and could that make any difference, anyway?

Is war against neckties inevitable?

Neckties are evil. They must be destroyed at all costs.
They should be banned, and people who wear them expelled from the country, and no more of them let in. I can’t believe how blind so many people are to the danger. It’s that PC mentality, and the counterfeit feminism and social justice that’s taking over our modern enlightened democracies.

Neckties are the only thing holding everything at bay in the world. Opposing neckties is like opposing nachos. And since you oppose nachos, well, more for me.

I forgot to mention that they are a plot of our alien insectoid reptilian overlords...

Maybe that's why I like our alien overlords. They wear neckties.

I always found neckties ridiculous.
A wearer ties this thing around the neck, close to strangulation.
The wearer never sees it.
I always found them uncomfortable.

The Iranians have it right.

The one on the left is obviously not comfortable.

They're SO stubborn!!! I hated ties, too, but my mom made me wear them. How come they don't have to wear them.

I think they just use commonsense. People who wear ties for work etc, usually take it off as soon as they get home or leave work.
However, according to the Guardian
The sale of ties was banned in Iran after the 1979 Islamic revolution but the ruling is often ignored
Cutting ties: Iran moves to enforce ban on symbol of western decadence
Its hard to find a dress shirt that has no collar for a tie. My shirts are either T-shirts or shirts which would accept either a tie or at least a bolo -- or golf shirts. Golf shirts are me least favorite. They combine the problems of keeping your top button buttoned, with the problem of a useless collar that won't keep its shape and the problem of keeping a shirt tucked in all without being dress shirts.
