I tend to be simple.....I store everything on the cloud. This leaves less clutter on my laptop's hard drive and my other devices' storage.
Another benefit is that I can access anything from any of my devices, from my laptop to my phone to my tablet.

I got a phone I've had for years....it can't do internet
no tablets
I have a laptop for this one entertainment and some online shopping
and how would personal info be secure?......up there
say I buy a new laptop.....Passwords and encryption.
If you are only using once device, however, unless you have storage capacity concerns, use of cloud storage may not be necessary, though it does facilitate getting info from an old device to a new one.
say I buy a new laptop.....
can this one plug direct to the new one and download?
same spirit.....new body
I turn the cloud off
something about syncing my files to a cloud seems soooooooo
much like needing a parachute
pros and cons if you please
and the Scott shows up with his head in the clouds
You don't say what operating system you run on your laptop. Windows? Mac OS? Linux?my laptop signs up each time I go online
anyway to stop that?
I do sign off.....immediately
but it wants me to undo that
it wants my files

well you thought that there were clouds in your coffee...Clever. I'll play.
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud. Clouds in my coffee, maybe, but I can see clearly now - the rain is gone - and I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
