Do you think your religion is the only true way or there are multiple paths?

Just thought I'd post the question without prejudicing it.

Other religions invariably have different aspects or amounts of the truth, and for that reason it is worth learning about other religions to see what truth is in them, but I believe my religion to be the fullness of that Truth.

No, in fact, I think my religion _isn't_ for the masses at all. Some people can't really handle "absolute" freedom they need to be told or lead to feel safe. Some need the provenance of scriptures, the historical credibility, or to simply just blend in with their relatives and family. I consider these needs valid, but I personally need none of that. Some people also need to feel that someone is looking out for them... etc.

Satanism is a path where you're free of all that, but also save yourself. :D So, as you can see, that's not for everyone. You have to come up with your own answers, solutions, and whatever -- however, nothing is off-limits and you can explore to your hearts content. So, ultimately, I feel you can get to the "truth" a bit easier if you're willing to break convention and get your hands dirty. However, since our anecdotal viewpoints are a bit different the "truth" is a bit of a nebulous concept in the first place.

That's funny... people in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints say the same thing about themselves almost verbatim to what you said.

I believe the path I follow is the best path to put one intouch with G-d, and ideally to be followed, but those who act well in life are not without reward.
My current religion believes that God gives gifts to everyone and no good deed goes unrewarded.

Atheism, I suppose if I thought if there was a way to know about an objective God, I'd be doing that. So sure, the only truth about God is we know nothing about any God or gods other than subjective experiences that one can choose to assign to supernatural intervention of some kind or not..

Lot of paths to come to the realization that man knows nothing about an objective God.

I don’t have a religion.

But I think every religion is a true way to find a social group of like minded people.

Oh, and I have a serious question for you.

I read the letter from your president regarding the name change.
I found it very enlightening, as an outsider.
But talking to many others (most of my relatives are of your religion), I find they don’t seem to like it.
It’s a bit of confusion for those who saw themselves as Mormon or LDS, and now must use a very long handle. And it really doesn’t make a better PR situation.
What is your take?

No. My religion is an ethnic religion and so it's not meant for everyone by design. Other peoples have their own religion.

Thank you for your question. Our prophet had to ask us to do it twice. Here is a great answer to your question from his own mouth the second time (I believe your letter was the first time):

The Correct Name of the Church - By President Russell M. Nelson

Please read at least up to reference 5.

I read it, and can definitely see the presidents point. I did in his first letter as well. Hopefully the members will take it to heart. It may be cumbersome but it puts the focus of our lives where it should be.

Humans are so small minded it is tiresome. What God wants can be written on one page. We humans print stacks and stacks of tomes, and appoint men over us to torment us by exercising unrighteous dominion over us, purportedly defining the will of God.

I hope this is pointed and acid enough. Sadly, many still will not get it.

There are many religions that have been inspired to some extent by the the God (of Abraham) I believe in.
