Would a 21st Century version of Jesus Christ have his own private jet plane?
A guy who can ascend to Heaven doesn't need a plane to get round on earth.

(How's that done, by the way? Do you just click your heels or something?)

It's all a sick freaking joke.

If one believes in God...an all powerful God....who could
send one to Hell...& this God tells you to get a private plane,
it would be a no brainer to get that plane.

Hmmm I think I might have found mention of you in the bible!

Ezekiel 13:20

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

:p

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Of course their love of luxury is nothing new, but it does make one wonder about the gullibility of their followers.

Anyone care to venture a guess about these poor people who keep supporting such con-men?

Could they really represent the bottom half of the intelligence spectrum as some have suggested?

.
I can't see it not being that.

I no longer feel anything for people who casually hand over their money like that, is needing or deserving of any type of sympathy.

The determining reason is primarily Peter Popoff when Randi exposed the con that he was pulling off on people. Even after all that, Peter came back after a while* and started it up all over again, and these people still threw boatloads of money at him.

*More like taking a lucrative luxury vacation for him while waiting for the heat to die down.

God works in mysterious ways.
If he commands that one in his flock get a
fancy plane, then who would dare refuse?

Did you just make up that gibberish?
I ask because on another forum (now defunct) long ago I was "The Pope".
I too made up scripture.
Gawd, those were halcyon days

If winning isn't everything why do they keep score
Please don't follow the clown that wants to politicize any post they can find so they can get off on Republicans.

These type con-men are precisely that which Christ warned against. False teachers that will mislead even the elect. They're clearly materialists when they want a private jet the price of which could feed the homeless and the desperate in their community.

Jesus and his Disciples walked everywhere they went.

I think the question is whether God tells the sheep one thing and the shearers another.
Obviously, you're right.
But He is wise....the sheep cannot afford their own planes.
But they can pool their resources to give the shearers planes.

The Bible is so vaguely written that "fulfilled" prophesies will occur no matter what happens.
Vaguely written to whom?
(Psalm 92:5, 6) 5 How great your works are, O Jehovah! How very deep your thoughts are! 6 No unreasoning man can know them; And no foolish person can understand this:

(Proverbs 1:1-7) 1 The proverbs of Solʹo·mon, the son of David, the king of Israel: 2 To learn wisdom and discipline; To understand wise sayings; 3 To acquire the discipline that gives insight, Righteousness, good judgment, and uprightness; 4 To impart shrewdness to the inexperienced; To give a young man knowledge and thinking ability. 5 A wise person listens and takes in more instruction; A man of understanding acquires skillful direction 6 To understand a proverb and a puzzling saying, The words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline.

(Proverbs 2:5-9) 5 Then you will understand the fear of Jehovah, And you will find the knowledge of God. 6 For Jehovah himself gives wisdom; From his mouth come knowledge and discernment. 7 He treasures up practical wisdom for the upright; He is a shield for those walking in integrity. 8 He watches over the paths of justice, And he will guard the way of his loyal ones. 9 Then you will understand what is righteous and just and fair, The entire course of what is good.

(Proverbs 20:24) 24 A man’s footsteps are directed by Jehovah; How can a man understand his own way?

(Proverbs 28:5) 5 Evil men cannot understand justice, But those who seek Jehovah can understand everything.

(Isaiah 6:9, 10) 9 And he replied, “Go, and say to this people: ‘You will hear again and again, But you will not understand; You will see again and again, But you will not get any knowledge.’ 10 Make the heart of this people unreceptive, Make their ears unresponsive, And paste their eyes together, So that they may not see with their eyes And hear with their ears, So that their heart may not understand And they may not turn back and be healed.”

(Hosea 14:9) 9 Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is discreet? Let him know them. For the ways of Jehovah are upright, And the righteous will walk in them; But the transgressors will stumble in them.

(Matthew 13:11-17) 11 In reply he said: “To you it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the Kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not granted. 12 For whoever has, more will be given him, and he will be made to abound; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 That is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations; for looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, nor do they get the sense of it. 14 And the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled in their case. It says: ‘You will indeed hear but by no means get the sense of it, and you will indeed look but by no means see. 15 For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes, so that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts and turn back and I heal them.’ 16 “However, happy are your eyes because they see and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things you are observing but did not see them, and to hear the things you are hearing but did not hear them.

With this, I agree. Thanks.
To millions, it's not vague.. Hope you understand why.
It's not difficult.

.

Some of this is due to a bend toward 'health and wealth prosperity preaching' by some.
If you buy into God will always provide you with 'the American dream' you might do things like have a super expensive sports car, a his and hers mansion... etc... etc...

I think God prospers believers in His sight, for their good, on His terms. Not the same as 'health and wealth'
