Why is divination considered a sin to Christians?

If you don't care, then why did you ask?

I don't believe in fairies or leprechauns or mermaids either, but you are certainly welcome to your tarot cards, Ouija boards and crystal balls.
you said I was being rude, no I'm not I just play around with words, I just say what I mean not being rude at all, so sorry yall are taking it that way, and rude can come quietly like you do.I'm straight forward.

Why is divination considered a sin to Christians?

Hello Zita,

Welcome to RF.

Most of the Christians "choose" to believe in sin
Most of the Christians "choose" to judge others (as well as "their" choices), who believe different then them
Most of the Christians "choose" to forget Jesus' saying "do not judge"

Of course that is their "religious freedom"

But that is the reason that most of the Christians consider "divination" a sin

I believe in God, I do not believe in sin

My Master taught me "whatever you offer to God is purified" (thought, word and deed should be one)
It seems to me you offer all to God, doing your "divination" in a prayerful way. So you are totally safe
Obviously more safe than the Christians "judging" what you do; they are the once that should worry
Wow, Thank you.thank you, thank you! I was beginning to think there was no one out there that was really getting what I am trying to say, but then came"you", Bless you!!

Do you believe in God?

Yeah, but I'm not a fundamentalist or an evangelical so you and I have very few beliefs in common ..

I believe that Genesis and Exodus and Joshua are fiction. Arguing the finer points of myth is rather stupid,

This is America, honey... you can read the Tarot Card and tea leaves all day long if you choose.

We aren’t told NOT to judge. We are told to judge righteously.

You’ve become very hostile, actually. Are you so certain your spirit friends have your best interest? I don’t see it.
well let's see you called me rude, now hostile! that's funny cause I am not hostile at all, I am just stating how I feel ,you are taking in a hostile way, wonder why that is?

While I try to obey the 10, I don’t keep the Sabbath. However, I don’t think I need to either. There are TWO commandments I am to follow. Love the Lord God with all my heart, mind, spirit, and love my neighbor as myself. Issues with those commandments?

God created the natural world or you say ...Why try the Torah?

You don’t see it? It’s obvious to me. Perhaps remember that we’re just people, not a collective. We don’t all agree, even on key doctrine. Actually, we even disagree on what is and isn’t key doctrine. Just try to be kinder?

You are not getting what I meant by that, I asked the question cause I did want you to reply, and I know given the subject yall are so against, it will be easy to find out now,and whew I got what I asked for.I just never knew yall were so convicted on it. that's all
Okay, fine. Now ya know. :D
Are you convince there is a sure way to know truth, or are you perhaps "limping" - unsure?
Don't answer. It's just something to think about. John 8:31, 32; 17:17

I believe that Genesis and Exodus and Joshua are fiction. Arguing the finer points of myth is rather stupid,
Then you must also believe that the Psalms, - actually the entire Bible - prophets, Jesus, and his apostles are fiction, or they are all deceivers / liars.. Which do you believe?
(1 Samuel 12:8) . . .Jehovah sent Moses and Aaron to lead your forefathers out of Egypt. . .
(1 Kings 8:53) . . .For you set them apart as your inheritance out of all the peoples of the earth, just as you declared through Moses your servant when you were bringing our forefathers out of Egypt, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah.”
(2 Kings 18:4) . . .He also crushed the copper serpent that Moses had made; for down to that time the people of Israel had been making sacrificial smoke to it and it used to be called the copper serpent-idol.
(1 Chronicles 6:49, 50) . . .Aaron and his sons made the sacrifices smoke on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense, performing the duties connected with the most holy things, to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of the true God had commanded. 50 These were the descendants of Aaron: El·e·aʹzar his son, Phinʹe·has his son, Ab·i·shuʹa his son,
(2 Chronicles 1:3) . . .Then Solʹo·mon and all the congregation went to the high place at Gibʹe·on, for that was where the tent of meeting of the true God was, which tent Moses the servant of Jehovah had made in the wilderness.
(Ezra 7:6) . . .This Ezʹra came up from Babylon. He was a copyist who was well-versed in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah the God of Israel had given.. . .
(Nehemiah 1:7) . . .We have certainly acted corruptly against you by not keeping the commandments, regulations, and judicial decisions that you gave to your servant Moses.
(Nehemiah 9:15) . . .You gave them bread from heaven when they were hungry, and you brought water out of the crag when they were thirsty, and you told them to enter and take possession of the land that you had sworn to give to them. . .
(Psalm 77:20) . . .You led your people just like a flock, In the care of Moses and Aaron.
(Psalm 103:7) . . .He made known his ways to Moses, His deeds to the sons of Israel. Psalms 106
(Isaiah 63:12) . . .The One who made His glorious arm go with the right hand of Moses, The One who split the waters before them To make an everlasting name for himself,
(Jeremiah 15:1) . . .Then Jehovah said to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel were standing before me, I would show no favor toward this people. Drive them out from before me. Let them go.
(Daniel 9:11) . . .All Israel has overstepped your Law and turned away by not obeying your voice, so that you poured out on us the curse and the sworn oath written about in the Law of Moses the servant of the true God, for we have sinned against Him.
(Micah 6:4) . . .For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, From the house of slavery I redeemed you; I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Mirʹi·am.
(Malachi 4:4) . . .“Remember the Law of my servant Moses, the regulations and judgments that I commanded at Hoʹreb for all Israel to obey.
(Matthew 8:4) . . .Then Jesus said to him: “See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses appointed, for a witness to them.”
(Matthew 19:3-8) 3 And Pharisees came to him intent on testing him, and they asked: “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife on every sort of grounds?” 4 In reply he said: “Have you not read that the one who created them from the beginning made them male and female 5 and said: ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh’? 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart.” 7 They said to him: “Why, then, did Moses direct giving a certificate of dismissal and divorcing her?” 8 He said to them: “Out of regard for your hard-heartedness, Moses made the concession to you of divorcing your wives, but that has not been the case from the beginning.
(Matthew 23:1-3) . . .Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. 3 Therefore, all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but they do not practice what they say.
Luke 1
(Luke 5:14) . . .Then he gave the man orders to tell no one: “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses directed, for a witness to them.”
(Luke 24:27) . . .And starting with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them things pertaining to himself in all the Scriptures. . .
(John 1:17) . . .Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.
(John 3:14, 15) 14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone believing in him may have everlasting life.
(John 7:19) Moses gave you the Law, did he not? But not one of you obeys the Law. Why are you seeking to kill me?”
(Acts 3:22) . . .In fact, Moses said: ‘Jehovah your God will raise up for you from among your brothers a prophet like me. You must listen to whatever he tells you.
Acts 7
(Romans 5:14) . . .Nevertheless, death ruled as king from Adam down to Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the same way that Adam transgressed, who bears a resemblance to the one who was to come.
(1 Corinthians 10:1-5) . . .Now I want you to know, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea 2 and all got baptized into Moses by means of the cloud and of the sea, 3 and all ate the same spiritual food 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they used to drink from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock meant the Christ. 5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.
(2 Timothy 3:8) . . .Now in the way that Janʹnes and Jamʹbres opposed Moses, so these also go on opposing the truth. Such men are completely corrupted in mind, disapproved as regards the faith.
Hebrews 8-11
(Jude 9) 9 But when Miʹcha·el the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: “May Jehovah rebuke you.”
Seriously, why do you bother to mention it, if you deny the entire Bible, less it be a mockery?

Do you believe Jesus celebrated the Passover? Why? Why do Jews keep the custom of celebrating the Passover? What is the Passover, and where did it originate?

Satan is a Christian construct...
No, the Book of Job reveals him.

Job 1
Job 2

He is first encountered in Genesis 3:1-6, as an entity opposing Jehovah God and calling God a liar. (Even then, he was hiding his identity....one of his favorite means of deception.) Satan means opposer.

However, Revelation 12:9 identifies the real power behind the Genesis serpent, as Satan the Devil, aka the Dragon.

Jesus is said to have healed people who were "afflicted".. Could be mental illness or epilepsy.. Some churches teach about the devil and demons.. I think that's all hogwash.

In the Bronze age they didn't know much about germs or viruses, brain turmors or accidental poisonings.. so it was all either about demons or the devil..

Even today idiots like Falwell and Pat Robertson claim that natural disasters like hurricanes are God's wrath on whore and homosexuals.
No...they spoke to him!

Luke 4:33-34...In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice, 34“Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God!

This was not just an ailing person. This person was controlled by wicked spirits, more than one, apparently. And they revealed that they knew Jesus came from God!

and how do you know that the bible you read was not written by a pretender acting as they care, so it can control all humans so that they and not know there are other ways to access your higher power and the spiritual world for real spiritual guidance and really live abundantly.

I’ve come to appreciate the Bible as having the best counsel one needs. The guidance it provides for Christians is unsurpassed!

This world, i.e., modern society, with its selfish mores, makes it difficult to follow at times...but Jehovah provides His spirit to help us. It is the best life! IMO.

Educated Jews know Exodus is fiction. The story is didactic literature.
